    Lantprn Lecture on Borneo.On Wednesday eveniog, February Zth, the

    Vicar is takingthe S.P.G,'s Syllabus subiect :-" Borneo," rvith the Members of the Guild ofthe Soldiers of the Cross. Tbe S.P,G.'s fineset of slides will be used. But rve have to payfor the laqte.n and operator. It is thoughtthat rrrarly grolr'n-up people may care to bepresent, and tberefore the Vicar begs to inviteall members of tbe congregation to come. Notickets will be issued, but tbreepeoce will becharged at the door. The lecture is in theIron Room, at Six o'clock, and will be overquite b1' seven.

    Lantern Lecture on Astronomy.In March, r9ro, the Vicar gave a leclure on

    "Crocodiles, Snakes, ar,d other Reptiles," and

    in February, r9rr, another on " Lions, Tigers,aDd other carnivorous Animals." This year heis venturing upon a tbird, on quite adifferent subject, namely Astronomy, OnWednesday everring, February r4th, at 8.30,in the Iron Room, an Elementary Lectureon the Solar systenr will be given, having as itstitle:-" The Sun and bis followers," Lime'l;ght photographs and rroving diagrams will beused througbout. The financial object of thelacture is to defray last year's deficit on theworking experses of the Guild of the Soldiersof the Cross, Three men of science residing in,

    or around, our parish, are most generouslyprovidirrg the whole of the cost of the printing,lantern, operator, &c., so that every solitarypenny taken will go intact to the financialobject of the lectLrre. TheseareMr.A.T. Hare,Dr. Rawson, and Dr. Wiseman.
