An interesting transformation takes place in today’s gospel. When Jesus enters Peter’s boat, he is addressed as “Master.” After the miraculous catch of fish, he is called “Lord.” In Luke’s gospel this change is intentional and significant. In Luke, those who do not
believe in Jesus address him as
“Master or teacher.” Those
who believe in Jesus address
him as “Lord.” The catch of
fish just didn’t change Peter’s
luck, it changed his life.
Although our encounters with
Jesus may not be as dramatic as
Peter’s, if we are attentive, they
will change our lives as well.

cambiarán nuestras vidas.

St. Paul’s Church in Nampa is offering Confirmation Series for Adults The series will consist 7 sessions. This series will be for adults who are baptized and not attending high school. New Year Bible Study
The conflicts of the early Christians in Corinth are in many ways similar to
our struggles today as Christians. They, too, witnessed division, scandal, immorality, persecution and other trials. In response, St. Paul taught the Corinthians about the Church as the Body of Christ, introducing them to the most powerful gift of all: the Eucharist.
