2. Refer to the table below to make Block A’s and Block B’s using the 8fatquarterfabrics.

1. Onthebacksofthe3”squaresof fabric11,draw a diagonal line from corner to corner. Place adrawnsquarerightsidestogetheronthecornerof 5 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle of fabric 1, in the top left corner. Sew directly on the line and press out. Trim the bottom 2 layers to 1/4”. Repeat the same procedure to the bottom right corner, pressing out, making Block A. For fabric 2, follow this pro-cedureexceptsewthesquaresonthetoprightcorner and bottom left corner. Press the seams toward the center of the block to make Block B.

*Seam allowance note: Thispatternwasdesignedusinganaccurate1/4˝seam.Beforebeginning,pleasepreciselycut(2)1-1/2˝x5˝piecesoffabric.Stitchthemtogetheralongthe5˝edge.Pressandmeasureacrossthematthemidpointontheirlength.TheyshouldbeEXACTLY2-1/2˝across.Ifnot,adjustyour stitching and try again until correct.
3. Sew the blocks together in 5 rows of 4 Block A’s and 4 Block B’s, alternating Block A’s and B’s followinglayoutofquilt.Pressseamsineachrowinoppositedirections.Pressquilttopdown.Sew on the inner and outer border.
