Difference College + University + Canadian Status
University + Canadian Status
Time 4-6 years 5 years
Total Cost (Tuition) $48,000 (@12,000/yr + 6,000 2 more years)
$68,000 (@17,000/yr)
Immigration Yes (under CEC class) Yes
Job Success Over 95% within 6 months Average
Colleges + University + Canadian Status
ü The route that FAS-‐T suggest includes a 3 year diploma (@$12,000/year) -‐ $36,000
ü 1 year work experience (Income not included in this calculaKon) – 3 year post graduate work visa provided
ü Canadian ImmigraKon aMer working 1 year under the Canadian Experience Class – Permanent Resident
ü 2 more years for university degree (@6,000/year – Due to immigraKon status) -‐ $12,000
ü Total cost for educaKon: College Diploma, 1 year of work experience, university degree and permanent residency – $48,000 vs. $68,000 (university undergraduate degree only)
The route that I suggest makes the most sense at every step of the way even though it take a liOle bit longer it assists the candidate to build the career most efficiently
The route is most efficient in becoming a Canadian immigrant and paying the least for your educa,on at the same ,me being eligible for loans (OSAP) aSer becoming a Canadian which would be useful in comple,ng further studies
Colleges provide extensive prac, cal training which help students find good jobs and even provides assistance with career guidance and planning workshops to ensure success of the student
Colleges are known for their excellent prac, cal learning environment where the student is not a number amongst 400 students and has an actual rela, onship with the professor and classmates during the course term
Eventually the student get’s the opportunity to become a
Canadian Citizen and live in Canada while enjoying one of the highest standards of living
in the world.
