The company is headed up by Terry Fixter,Managing Director and Cliff Buck, Salesand marketing Director with several other

ex-GEM staff also very much involved, bringingeasily over one hundred years of combined cropsprayer experience to the company. The mainoffice and parts stores are based in Southwell,Nottinghamshire with the machines beingmanufactured in Debrecen, Hungary. The factthat the machines are manufactured in Europebrings several advantages, the main one being theaccess to easily deliver their machines into manymarkets other than the UK and Ireland.

Appointed dealersThey have already appointed dealers and deliveredmachines into Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, andBulgaria and even have machines working in thePhilippines and The Democratic Republic of theCongo. That said the UK and Irish markets remainkey and they have been able to establish a

comprehensive dealer network throughout to supplyand support their sprayers.

Although a completely new range of sprayers hasbeen designed and developed they have a clear linkto the original Gem Sprayer quality but arecompliment with a new generation of booms andchassis’s and tanks for both trailed and mountedranges, along with modern styling. So the range nowcomprises of mounted machines with tank capacitiesfrom 200 litres to 1600 litres and boom widths from8m to 24m. The trailed sprayer range boasts three

Recent additionsAt January’s LAMMA Show the most recent additionsto the FarmGEM sprayer range were launched.Continued customer demand for a mounted sprayerwith a 24 metre gull wing boom led FarmGEM to investin developing a new mounted sprayer. The NEWFSE1600 with a 12/20, 21 or 24m gull wing boom waslaunched at LAMMA 2013 along with a new frontmounted tank range. FarmGEM feel thisis not the answer for everyone, as many farmers andcontractors do not like the more light weight design ofthe vertical fold boom along with all its wearing foldjoints. But prefer the stronger more robust build of agull wing boom.

Also new is the FT 3 point linkage mounted fronttank range offer both 1200 litre and 1400 litre tanksizes which have been designed to provide maximumforward visibility. Hydraulically driven transfer/agitationpump, in-cab electronic control, dry tank contentsgauge and road lighting are all included in thestandard specification.

High demandFinally the Quartz trailed sprayer, a lower specificationtrailed sprayer joins the UK offering. The Quartz wasoriginally designed due to the high demand from

Although designed to complement the morehighly specified Diamond and GEM-Trak models theQuartz still has plenty features of its own. Includingclean water tank and flushing system, chemicalinduction hopper, clothing locker, 13mm stainless steelspraylines, full electronic control of main on/off, 5 boomsections and pressure adjustment. The Quartz usesthe same booms that are fitted to the both Diamondand GEM-Trak. As with the former Gem Sprayer range,high quality and strength remain key. As with allFarmGEM sprayers the machine is delivered NSTStested and covered by the FarmGEM “3 YearWARRANTY” - a second and third year constructionwarranty, in addition to the standard full first yearwarranty. FarmGEM say there are more new andexciting developments in the pipeline so keep an eyeout during 2013.
