Designers are taking a cover-up approach when it comes to clothing trends. As much as

eight garments have been used in a single outfit. Wrap sweaters and skirts resemble hand-woven blankets and striped shawls are

worn with cozy suede boots.

Lets take a step back in time…

The silhouettes of the 1950s and 1960s are making a strong return, with shapes that

accentuate curves and foster femininity. The look is versatile and fun. A hip-hugging sheath

dress with a below-the-knee hem is the ultimate in hourglass

dressing, while the full circle skirt and dress remain at the

core of the trend.

Military-Inspired Fashion

Military fashion as a trend is nothing new, But while fashion trends tend to

burn out within a few years, the women's military fashion trend isn't going anywhere, though like all true fashion trends, in 2010 the military trend will evolve. Military-inspired

jackets and vests, lace tops, such as slouchy and textured sweaters, are

among the first to pack for a fall fashion journey.

Decadence

Taking the showgirl's go-to color and transforming it into

choices spanning tough to feminine, or even classic.

Designers are adding metallic prints and gold

accents to create a luxurious look

Menswear

Fashions worn in the office are making a big splash

this fall season. Menswear-inspired suiting

and outerwear are key looks at the runway.

Longer Skirts

No longer are skirts skimpy short, designers have gone long for

both day and night, turning out demure yet dramatic skirts that skim the upper shins, graze the

ankles, or fall somewhere in between. This new trend looks

great with easy-on-the-feet heels and flat-soled boots.

Leather

It's no great secret that the humble leather jacket has

become a wide-spread wardrobe staple over the

last few Winters. As a fashion trend in 2010,

however, women's leather clothing is being taken to

a whole new level.

Fur, faux that isFur jackets are a huge

trend this season. Everything from classic

tweeds and quilted, chain-strap bags to yeti boots was trimmed in fur down the runway. Quality and variety are amazing this

season. So are the prices.
