Mindful Meditation (Adult)Mindful Meditation is a mental state achieved by focusing ones aware-ness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accept-ing ones feeling thoughts and bodily sensations. Held at Cypress Hall.

Tumble BearsChildren will begin class with music warm up, yoga and creative move-ment. Props like the parachute, scarves and bean bags will be used for variety. Tumbling skills will be learned along with balance beam, tunnel and other coordination equipment. Instructed by Joy Deco Enterprises.

Kidokinetics (Ages 3 to 6) The “fun way to fitness”- your child will learn a new sport each week. They will be introduced to the basics of each sport in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere. Activities include soccer, hockey, tennis, basketball, volleyball, football, golf, hula hoops, obstacle courses, T-ball and more. All classes are led by experienced coaches who will provide a fun and safe environment for learning. Kidokinetics focuses on individual achievement to improve the child’s self confidence.

Triple Threat Basketball (Ages 7 to 14)An on-going after school basketball academy where boys and girls learn the fundamentals of basketball. Funtastic Gymnastics (Ages 4 to 9)Each week we host different event or skill to increase the children’s interest and progress. Our program offers the horizontal training bar for strength and the small balance beam for agility and coordination. Owner Beth Budnick has been teaching more than 30 years.

Aikido (Ages 13 and up)A non-aggressive Japanese Martial Art, self defense oriented for men, women and teenagers. Learn to use the opponents energy against themselves with virtually no strength needed. Great for beginners or experienced practitioners. Aikido teaches fluid movements as you perform simple effective techniques. Classes taught by Shihan Michael D'Angona, 5th degree Black Belt with over 20 years experi-ence in the Japanese martial arts.

Okinawan Karate (Ages 5 to 18) Trust your child's self-defense instruction with Scott Ashley, a law-enforcement officer with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Scott is a sixth-degree black belt, a former world kickboxing cham-pion and is currently on staff at Broward College, where he teaches defensive tactics to Police recruits. Children enrolled in the program will develop discipline, respect and self-confidence while learning self-defense. Mondays and Thursdays • 7:10 to 8 p.m.Cost: $55 per session

Joy Deco Inc. is offering Kids in Action, Kids Days Off sports programs (Ages 5–11) including soccer, basketball, kickball, obstacle course, dodgeball, field hockey. Simply Soccer Camps (Ages 5 to 15) Simply Soccer stresses the 4 components of soccer. Camp Director Gary Curreri has a USSF National License, a USSF National Youth License, and a Florida Youth Soccer Association State Staff Coach. Full-day par-ticipants receive a free T-shirt, certificates and written evaluation of their performance for the week. Campers must bring a soccer ball, swim suit, shin guards, water bottle and lunch.

Community Bus ProGram

December 18-23This will be the 25th annual Kreul Classic, one of the country’s premier boys’ high school basketball tournaments.

Spanning four days, the 2015 Kreul will feature some of the nation’s top-rated teams. Along with the best South Florida pro-grams, teams from Coral Springs High, Coral Springs Christian and Coral Springs Charter will have the opportunity to test their skills and make memories while playing in this exceptional national event.

Rollerbladers and skateboarders use the park to practice their skills on the various ramps, dips and bowls. Contests and professional demonstra-tions take place on occasion. There are bleachers at the park for spectators and parents to watch the skaters and bladers. To become a skate club member, non-residents must have a Coral Springs non-resident card which is $172 per fiscal year per family.

Coral Springs Fitness Center Get and stay fit at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex Fitness Center. Our gym will meet all of your fitness needs. Our fitness equipment is second to none, including free weights, Body Masters, Hammer Strength and Ground Zero machines. To keep your heart healthy, we have treadmills, both recumbent and upright bikes, Stairmasters and EFX Cross trainers. As always, expect total quality service from the staff of personal trainers on site to lend a helping hand. So don’t delay, come check us out today. Cypress Pool Party PackagesParty Packages are currently being offered at Cypress Park Pool Water Park. Bring family and friends to celebrate a special occasion under your own private "Funbrella." Coral Springs Swim ClubThe Coral Springs Swim Club is a year-round competitive swimming program for children and young adults. The Club has consistently ranked in the top three swim clubs in the nation for teaching stroke excellence. Several Olympic and current World Champions train with our elite coaching staff. Tryouts: Ages 12 and under at Mullins Park Pool either 4:30 or 5:45 p.m. Ages 13 and older at the Aquatic Complex at 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Diving LessonsDiving is a full-scale recreational program featuring state-of-the-art equipment in one of the best outdoor facilities in the country. Students develop strength, flexibility and confidence while learning how to dive properly from the springboards and platforms. This program accommodates children ages 6 to 18 of all skill levels. All participants must be able to swim independently in 16-foot deep water.

Swim Training and TechniqueA year-round program for ages 10 and up that develops strength, technique and endurance. This also includes advanced swimming skills, stretching, drills and techniques related to competitive swim-ming. Must pass a pre-requisite test offered every Tuesday with the coach from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m.

Age Group/Youth Water Polo This year-round water polo program is designed to enhance and improve basic water polo skills for school-age participants. USA Water Polo Membership Fee required, if competing – see coach for details.

Senior Fitness ClassesThe Fitness Center at the Aquatic Complex is now offering free fit-ness classes designed for Coral Springs residents age 62 and older. The classes use state-of-the-art equipment that was developed for maximum muscle and bone density regrowth. A personal trainer and geriatric nurse will be teaching each session. The sessions are easy, upbeat and fun! Class times vary. Call for details.

The Coral Springs Masters and Adult Fitness Swim Program is a year-round adult program designed for swimmers of all abilities. The main focus of the program is to improve stroke, endurance, health and fitness. Triathletes are welcome. Competitions are available but not required.

Synchronized Swim Team (Aquacades)Enjoy dancing? Enjoy swimming? Try combining the two and give synchronized swimming a chance. Synchronized swimming is prob-ably one of the most beautiful of all aquatic sports. It combines the skills of gymnastics, dance and swimming with the strength and endurance of weight lifting.

The Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital (SNC) is an environ-mental learning center and wildlife rehabilitation facility located in Sportsplex Park. The Center is open to the public for self-guided tours or any of our special programs. The SNC also operates a wildlife reha-bilitation facility caring for injured, sick and orphaned native wildlife with the hope of releasing them back into the wild.

Camp Wild - Winter Break Camp(Ages 6 to 12) “Camp Wild” campers, ages 6 to 12, enjoy hands-on activities with animals and plants, outdoor exploration, science experiments and arts and crafts. Wild Birthday PartiesCelebrate your birthday at the SNC as we offer a unique opportunity to get up close with nature. Programs are fun and educational, in hopes of instilling the message that we all need to be stewards of the earth. Guests also enjoy a guided tour of the SNC exhibit area.

Squish Dish ClassOn October 17, Artist-in-residence Jan Kolenda will conduct a nature inspired squish dish pottery class. No experience is required. Hockey ProgramsHockey 101 (Ages 4 to 12) This program is an introduction to hockey that will leave your skater wanting more! The program is intended for Stanley C. graduates who want to play hockey.

Hockey 201 (Ages 7 to 16)This program is designed to teach the fundamentals of ice hockey and prepare them for future participation in our youth recreational hockey league. Full equipment is required to participate in this program.

Classes offered Mondays. Sessions run from 5:50- 6:50 p.m. and Saturdays from 8-9 a.m.

Recreational Hockey Leagues (Ages 5 to 14)Our Panthers Amateur Hockey Association (PAHA) recreational league is specifically designed to help participants develop the nec-essary skills to play hockey in a safe, FUN environment. Contact us for division information and space availability.
