Starfish Ages 3y-5yWater adjustment for young children. Playing activities in the water,students will work on bubble blowing, breath control, kicking (withsupport), floating (with support), and arm movement.

Seahorse Ages 3y-7yPrerequisite: Pass Starfish or ability to perform equivalent skills.Fundamental skill building class. Students must be comfortable withfloating on front and back with support and submerging head for atleast 5-10 seconds. Class objective: float without support and recov-er to a vertical position. Continue to work on kicking, arm strokes,and independence in shallow water.

Lobster Ages 4y-11yPrerequisite: Pass Seahorse or ability to perform equivalentskills. Focus on unsupported front and back crawl skills. Studentsmust be able to do front and back crawl strokes with support, 10bobs, and float unsupported for at least 20 seconds. Class objective:introduce students to the basics of elementary backstroke, divinginto deep water and treading water. Continue with front and backcrawl.

Seal Ages 5y-11yPrerequisite: Pass Lobster or ability to perform equivalent skills.Increase endurance of front and back crawl. Students must beable to swim front and back crawl 15 yards, do 20 bobs, glideunderwater, and tread water for at least 45 seconds. Class objec-tive: continue with front and back crawl refinement, treading waterand diving; introduction of breaststroke, and scissor kick.

Dolphin Ages 6y-12yPrerequisite: Pass Seal or ability to perform equivalent skills.Stroke refinement, coordination and endurance. Students must beable to swim at least 25 yards of front and back crawl, 15 yards of ele-mentary backstroke and breaststroke kick, and tread water for 1minute. Class objective: continue stroke refinement and endurance.

Introduce breaststroke arms, dolphinkick, open turns and more diving.

Teen/AdultAges 15y toAdultInstructorswill workwith students attheir own pace to develop basicswimming skills. Skills will includefloating, kicking, freestyle and back-stroke, and more depending on indi-vidual skill level.

Aquatics Class RefundsRefunds are allowed up to seven business days prior to the firstday of class; a $10 service fee per class will be applied to eachrefund. Cancellation requests received after the refund period butprior to the first day of class will receive a credit, minus the $10service fee, valid for one year. No refunds or credits will beoffered once classes begin. A team of highly trained and motivated “teamleaders” will help provide a wonderful environment of intellectual and phys-ical intrigue. Students and parents alike will be impressed by the dynamicrange of learning aides and carefully designed development plans usedthroughout this program. Beginning, Adv. Beginning & Intermediate Levels:This 3 tiered introduction program is designed to develop early tennis skillsthat include stage 1,2 & 3 balls, ground strokes (stationary & moving), serv-ing (1/2 & full motion), volleys, overheads, and basic vocabulary. Intermediate/AdvancedFor students who have completed 10-20 hours of advanced beginning ten-nis. Class goal: to beable to play an actual singles or doubles match.

Drill ClassPrerequisite: Intermediate course or instructor approval. Workouts coverground strokes, volleys, overheads, and serving drills. A great class for thosewanting to move and hit lots of tennis balls.

Doubles StrategyAlways poaching when you shouldn’t? Can’t figure out what to do againstthose tough pushers? The Doubles Strategy class will give you an edge overthe competition through proven techniques and strategies that that you canimplement in your game right away. The class will cover a variety of com-mon scenarios and playing styles to help tailor your game with the perfectstrategy.

Serve, Return, Backhand, orNetGameThese classes are designed to improve one specific tennis stroke that maybe giving a player the most trouble and preventing him/her from reachingthat next level of performance. Technical improvements, strategic adviceand practice tips will be provided throughout the program.

This hike will take us through oak woodlands and alongPutnum Creek as we watch for wintering and resident birdsof our coast live oak woodlands. In past years this hike hasturned up brown creepers, fall warblers and hawks.
