This community event is FREE of charge, come and join us for a great morning of fishing. The Arizona Game & Fish Department will loan fishing gear and bait to the first 100 participants who do not have equipment of their own.

GILBERT’S YOUTH FISHING DAY

Take a child fishing! This is a great opportunity to spend the morning fishing with family or to bring a young angler that would enjoy the experience! Participants do not need to have a valid urban fishing license during the time of the event! Just check-in that morning with one of the volunteers before fishing.

Registration Dates

On-Line Registration 1. In order to register through On-line registration, you will need a main contact client number, a family PIN number and a credit card. 2. If you do not have a main contact client number and a family PIN number, please call (480) 503-6200. 3. Visit www.GilbertRecreation.com to register On-line. Payments can be made with a Visa, Master Card or American Express

Touch-Tone Registration If you do not have a main contact client number, individual client numbers and a family PIN, please call (480) 503-6200. 2. After calling Touch-Tone registration, (480) 503-6225, follow the recorded prompts to register for your selected classes. 3. Your registration is not complete until you enter your credit card information for payment. Payments should be made with a Visa, Master Card or American Express.

Mail-In Registration– Forms available for download on website

After selecting the classes you wish to register for, then: • Only one person per registration form. Forms may be photocopied. • Enter the class code along with other required information, i.e. name of class. • Be sure to sign the assumption of risk waiver in ink. • Registration fees must be submitted with registration form. • Your registration form is an application; it does not assure placement in a class. • If your class choices are full, you will be placed on a wait list for that class.

· If you are on a waitlist for a class, and an opening becomes available, you will be contacted by the Community Services Department. · Community Services Department is committed to being fair and equitable to all participants, therefore we are unable to make exceptions to any class policies. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. · The Town of Gilbert has the right to cancel, postpone, combine classes, change rooms and/or instructors at any time.

A $25 service charge will be assessed on returned checks.

A scholarship program is available to help economically disadvantaged children. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship for your child(ren), please call the Gilbert CAP office at (480) 892-5331. They are located at 1140 N. Gilbert Rd. Ste. 109, Gilbert, AZ 85234.

For your child's safety, children must be accompanied into the facility as well as to and from the classroom.

Participants should dress appropriately according to the type of class they are registered for. Tights/leotards and or loose clothing is

recommended for dance/movement classes. Closed-toe shoes are a must for all classes.

Parents of children wearing diapers or pull-ups must remain in the facility during their child's class.

For all Parent/Tot classes, only registered participant and parent are allowed in the classroom. Siblings, including infants, unless registered,

are not allowed in classroom. Parents do not need to register but will be required to sign a waiver of liability on the first day of the session.

Only registered participants may remain in the classroom once class has started. Parents, family members and friends are asked to wait

outside the classroom quietly while class is in session. If a participant is in need of a caregiver to remain in the classroom during class hours,

prior approval must be obtained by the program coordinator before registration.

Non-Registered children must meet the minimum age requirement of the facility to be left unsupervised. Please see facility staff for age

requirements.

A participant will be allowed to register for a class as long as the participant reaches the required age anytime during the session, unless

otherwise stated in the class description.

Photos & Videos of Participants: The Town of Gilbert often takes pictures of participants in our programs. Some of these photos may be

used for advertising in our publications and or other types of advertising. By registering you are granting permission to the Town of Gilbert to

utilize these photos/videos as marketing and promotional material.

DANCE TWINKLE TOES-PARENT/TOT

Class is full of imagination and fun allowing you to interact with your child to introduce the fundamentals of dance techniques in ballet, tap and tumbling. Dance is about learning to nurture creative movement, follow directions, become aware of one’s body/surroundings and establish classroom etiquette. Great opportunity to let your little dancer build confidence and self esteem and take the first step to leaving your side! Soft soled dance shoes and tap shoes are recom-mended for your child but not required.

This class will prepare your child for preschool by reinforcing letters, numbers, shapes and colors with you by their side. Math, music, arts and crafts, science and playtime will all be part of our curriculum. We will end our class with story time and snacks.

KINDERMUSIK FAMILY TIME-MOVIN’ & GROOVIN’

This class brings children of all ages together for musical and developmental learning in a fun family

environment. At each weekly 45-minute class you’ll see how music helps your family laugh together, share and take turns. Movin’ & Groovin’ is a 12-week semester divided into three sessions. Session 1 is August 31st-September 21st, Session 2 is September 28th-October 26th and look for Session 3 in our Winter Guide. Families are welcome to join at the beginning of any session. A $50 supply fee will be collected by the instructor on the first day of class. Supplies include two CDs, two literature books, Family guide & game and two monkey den-den drums.

EQUESTRIAN HORSEBACK RIDING-PARENT/TOT

This class offers horseback riding for toddlers. Parents and children will be taught basic safety around horses with brushing and petting time. Parents are taught how to lead the horse, while the children learn balance on a horse. Parents and children will also learn how to walk, stop, and turn the horse. Teacher to student ratio is 1/4. TINKERBELL BALLET

Every week your little “Tinkerbell” will tip toe into a world of imagination! Costumes, props and books will be incorporated into this magical basic ballet class. A new fairytale will be incorporated into their learning along with building coordination, rhythm and vocabu-lary. Class also designed to create a magical environment for enhancing your child’s physical, mental, emotional and social devel-opment. Be sure to bring your camera each week as you’ll be invited in at the end of class! Ballet shoes recommended but not required. Participants must be minimum age by the first day of class.

CHEER, CHANTS & TUMBLE

The girls in this squad will learn basic cheer tumbling, simple chants, kicks, dances and jumps set to age appropriate music. TWINKLE TOES

Class is full of imagination and fun while introducing the fundamentals of dance techniques in ballet, tap and tumbling. At this age, dance is about learning to nurture creative movement, follow directions, become aware of one’s body/surroundings and establish classroom etiquette. Great opportunity to let your little dancer build confidence and self esteem. Soft soled dance shoes and tap shoes are recommended but not required.

This is a basic tumbling class for the little ones. Students will slither like snakes and jump like frogs. They will play games for strength and coordination. Gilbert Community Services office, 90 E. Civic Center Drive, Gilbert, AZ, 85296 between August 1 and August 18. All rosters must be received by

August 18 by 6pm to be considered for the lottery. Postmarks will not be accepted. Please make a copy of your roster

Come and join the East Valley’s most exciting and energetic program of Adult Sports Leagues. Join over 48 Adult Men’s Basketball Teams. Register your team for one of our many divisions. If you don't have a team, feel free to sign-up on the unattached player’s list on the website. Team managers refer to this list for new players to add to their team or create your own team with the list. Divisions are determined by skill level and playing experience. Teams will play 7 regular season games and end the league with a single elimination tournament that includes t-shirt prizes. Season begins week of September 11 and continues through November. DIVISIONS: Co-Ed Upper / A and Co-Ed Upper / B will both play on Monday evenings.

SEASON: Begins Monday, September 12 and continues through November (includes league play and single-elimination tournament).

LOCATION: Games played at South Valley Junior High School, 2034 S. Lindsay Road.

LEAGUE FEE: $275 per team. Make check payable to the “Town of Gilbert.”

REGISTRATION: Teams may register August 1-August 31 or until the league fills. League fee and completed rosters are due upon registration.

Team registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
