Rules of Design Division: *Artificial foliage and flowers, fruits and vegetables are not permitted. Accessories may be used. No flowers from commercial sources may be used. Commercial growers selling plants or bulbs may not exhibit. En-tries may be brought in Wednesday, July 28, from 11 a.m. to 5
p.m. *Bring your own jars for exhibits. responsibility for en-tering only the specified number of blooms or stems for each lot is that of the exhibitor.
Condition your plant material before using in designs or entering specimens. Take a tepid (room temperature) pail of water to the garden in which to immediately place your speci-mens. Use a sharp knife or shears to cut stems on a slant. Cut in late afternoon/early evening or early morning. Avoid new growth - it wilts easily. Recut stems under water preventing air pockets. Place pail in basement, without drafts, to cool. Remove foliage below water line of your specimen entry. Pickup items Sunday, Aug. 2 11 a.m. to no later than 1 p.m.
