New Testament Principles

A) Laying aside falsehood, speak the truth, each one of you, with his neighbor (Ephesians 4:25).

B) Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body (1 Corinthians 6:18).

C) For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world (1 John 2:16).

D) Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live (1 Corinthians 8:6).

E) Little children, guard yourselves from idols (1 John 5:21).

F) Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right (Ephesians 6:1).

G) Knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane... (1 Timothy 1:9a).

H) Let him who steals steal no longer; but rather let him labor (Ephesians 4:28).

I) Now if you...murder, you have become a transgressor of the law (James 2:11).

J) No New Testament Commandment: So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths (Colossians 2:16).

Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer. For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
