Jeremy Bacon running the London Marathonfor the BLF Breathe Easy Network

I am running the London Marathon on April 21st to raise money for The BritishLung Foundation. I am dedicating my run and fund-raising efforts to the BLFBreathe Easy network and to the amazing volunteers and healthcare profes-sionals throughout the UK who provide support, information and hope toanyone affected by lung disease.I have many memories of watching those early marathons and being filledwith admiration for the people that did them. I really got a true sense of theatmosphere when I went down last year to support our runners, so this is my‘once in a lifetime’ chance in 2013. The training is going okay and I didhalf-marathon distance last week without too many ill effects.

If you would like to support me you can go to my online pagehttp://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JeremyBacon

If supporting by going online above, please remember to 'gift-aid' your donation if you can.For any one not having access to a computer or would prefer to post a cheque, please make chequespayable to ‘British Lung Foundation’ and with either a little note or with ‘J Bacon Marathon’ on the backand send to British Lung Foundation, Midlands Regional Office, Carlton House, 28 Regent Road,Leicester LE1 6YH. I will be able to add your donation to my online sponsor page as ‘offline fund-raising’.Thanking you in advance for your support. Jeremy Bacon

Going to Donnington Medical Practice for Lung Function Test?A warning to any one going to Donnington Medical practice for lung function tests. Please note that theseare now done at the bungalow, next to the practice. By car, leaving the Donnington shop parade, go uppast the Medical Practice (on your left) and then turn left at the next traffic lights and then next left againinto the car park behind the bungalow. Otherwise you will have to cope with a flight of stairs or a 4 tierramp from the medical practice, good to test your lungs but not before a test! Mary Cook
