Jefferson’s Executive Brain Health (EBH) program offers world-class personalized care that will give you an elegant snapshot of neurophysiological and neurocognitive brain performance.

This one-day evaluation gives you a clear picture of both the structure and functionality of your brain — and research-backed steps to guide the path forward.

EBH is designed for all ages, but may be most impactful if you:

• Are experiencing cognitive changes in memory or attention • Seek an in-depth evaluation to clarify diagnosis • Have a family history of dementia or other neurological conditions • Have a history of concussion, traumatic brain injury, or inflammatory process that could involve the brain

Your comprehensive evaluation includes:

• Detailed neurological intake • Laboratory blood tests • Additional, customized screenings for Full Program patients may be ordered • Neurocognitive testing of attention, memory, mood, visual and verbal skills • Comprehensive neurological exam • Optional hearing and smell assessments available as indicated

• Psychophysiological testing of muscle tension, heart rate variability and skin conductance to reveal how your brain and body respond to stress

BASIC AND FULL PROGRAM TIERS

Executive Brain Health is a fee-for-service program not covered by insurance. However, laboratory blood tests will be billed to your insurance and are subject to the terms of your policy. The cost of these is not reflected in the program fee. No other elements of the program are billable to insurers.

REVOLUTIONARY TECHNOLOGY: PET-MRI

The Marcus Institute is home to the only PET-MRI scanner in the region, a revolutionary technology that combines the diagnostic capabilities of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) with Positron Emission Tomography (PET).

The machine’s 3-Tesla MRI gives highly precise visualization of the brain’s anatomy, while the PET component allows us to observe the brain’s functioning in real time. Together, this unique dual scanner al-lows for an efficient and multi-layered snapshot of brain structures and how they are performing, while limiting exposure to the radiation often involved with less advanced imaging techniques. Our expert EBH providers apply this technology to evaluate the structure of your brain and its blood vessels, as well as to observe the metabolic function of your brain.

Jefferson’s Radiology Department provides on-site staffing and expertise for these unparalleled imaging capabilities.

Mijail Serruya, MD, PhDDr. Serruya is a board-certified neurologist and trained specialist in behavioral neurology who is familiar with the current clinical standard-of-care, as well as the dynamic landscape of peer-reviewed translational neuro-rehabilitation.

Marie Stoner, M.EdAs an acclaimed brain health expert, Ms. Stoner performs autonomic psychophysiological tests and gives custom recommendations based on your results. With her empathetic demeanor and decades of experience as a Clinical Psychologist, she’s the perfect person to help you navigate internal and external brain stress.
