The Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting (LCAM) was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this year. It was a very informative and enjoyable conference with 16 members attending. I would also like to congratulate and recognize Diana Busche for being a graduate of the Academy of Leadership. Corporate shared that next year’s LCAM will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico from September 16 19, 2020, so mark your calendars! The Corporate theme this year is “Empower. Engage. Inspire.” Three very important verbs that we all need to feel and do. My theme this year is “Make it Happen….Make it Matter!” I love to make things happen, but even more, I want things to matter. Making something matter takes passion and sometimes courage. With the help of the officers, and YOU, we can make things Happen and Matter! Let’s make this a banner year and get involved to make a difference. This is an amazing Chapter and I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to serve as this year’s Chapter President! President’s Message

President’s

Message Well, here we go!!! The new 2019 – 2020 EWI Omaha Chapter year has started! I’m so excited and a little anxious now that it is here.

I wanted to thank Kristin Gochenour for her introductions of our Board’s new officers. I think we have an incredible, and very devoted, group of women who have made the decision to help lead this wonderful Chapter. I also want to thank Rhonda Silvey for her amazing leadership of the Board this past year. Her professionalism and grace will be something I certainly will strive for, and hope to achieve, as I take on this role. The Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting (LCAM) was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this year. It was a very informative and enjoyable conference with 16 members attending. The fabulous keynote speaker talked about change and how we can work through it, survive and even thrive in it, along with discussing our multigenerational world and how it affects today’s workplaces. I would also like to congratulate and recognize Diana Busche for being a graduate of the Academy of Leadership. Corporate shared that next year’s LCAM will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico from September 16 – 19, 2020, so mark your calendars!

THRIVE @ FIVE

When we first introduced Missy Peters, she had shared:

“I am an avid runner and a bit of a health nut. I have run every day, rain or shine, snow or sleet for over five years. I have completed a full marathon in each of the 50 states (50

States Club) and am two states (Maine and Vermont) away from completing a marathon in under 4:00 in every state (50 Sub4 Club) which fewer than 125 people globally have

accomplished. My goal is to finish those two states in early 2019 if not before”.

We are very proud of Missy who, this past weekend in Maine, successfully accomplished her goal of completing a marathon in under 4:00 in every state!!! Congratulations, Missy!
