Aim of Shoot

By doing this shoot I was trying to produce a photo that could be used in a music magazine

Description of shoot

To get this photo I told the models to pose, but I took this photo whilst they were off guard. I like this picture because it is a natural reaction. The photo was taken on a field just outside college at the beginning of October.

To get the photo to this stage I just added black and white and added a lens flare.

Settings used here was a field and a few trees. Because it was a sunny day the lighting looked really well.

I’m surprised at how well the editing looked. I like how the editing transformed the photo.

Editing effects

Editing this photo was very easy. All I did was add a lens flare through the filter tab and add a black and white effect.

Final Images

Mention focus, depth of field, rule of thirds, composition,

The weaknesses of these photos is that some of them are a bit dark. Thankfully the photo I liked the most had the best lighting on it. I chose these photos because I think they look quite natural. The focus of these photos turned out well.

Rejected Images

These were the 3 images I disliked the most. The two on the right were practice shots and turned out too dark. The one on the left is out of focus.

Aims for next project

• From this shoot I have learnt that I need to take my time when it comes to planning location and lighting. I think it’s important to make sure I know what I’m aiming to achieve before taking the photos.
