euston station & the vicinity
DESCRIPTION
Euston station and the vicinity has diversified landuse and human activities. The Camden Council area includes this area which was developed within more than 200 years. Although the diversity in landuse and functions, the social polarisation, poor public realm and deprivation is evident for many years. This design exercise was to find the scope of Transit ( euston) oriented neo-traditional development in alleviating the social polarisation and improve the quality of public realm and neighbourhood. The principles of new urbanism such as walkability, less traffic, more green spaces and community neighbourhood development was adoped in the design concept. This concept design was used for online and dissertation survey and was part of Enquiry by design methodology.TRANSCRIPT
