EuroBasket is one of the TOP 3 sport events in

Europe and TOP 5 sport events in the world

EuroBasket matches are broadcasted internationally

(EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania was shown on 45 TV

channels in 160 countries).

The European Championship has been held by the

International Basketball Federation (FIBA Europe) since

1935.

The tournament is organised every 2 years.

EuroBasket 2013 will take place in September, 4 - 22

in Slovenia.

EuroBasket 2015 will take place in September 2015 in

Ukraine.

TOURNAMENT : HISTORY, FACTS&FIGURES

Founded in February 2013.

Organises the tournament, monitors of the sports arenas construction

according to the requirements of FIBA and international standards,

promotion of the tournament, etc.

Works in close cooperation with FIBA Europe, FIBA World, Ukrainian

Basketball Federation, central and local governmental authorities of

Ukraine.

Follows the principles of transparency and openness.

Involves the core members of the EURO 2012 team.
