Dear Guest,

If you are dreaming of the trip of a lifetime, then it is my pleasure to invite you to join us for a unique experience in Turkey. We are proud to be the most well-known Australian operator for adventures and vacations in Turkey & beyond, and I am thrilled to announce that-- due to overwhelming demand--we will now be operating over 200 tours in 2017/2018.

Since our inception in 2001, we have established an enviable reputation for providing Tailored, Small Group, Private and Specialty Tours to Turkey. For over 16 years, Fairy Chimneys Travel has set as its goal to define a new standard of travel. We have increasingly strengthened and polished our talents and, as a result, have enjoyed consistent growth year after year.

Our philosophy is simple: We care! We listen to our clients, identify and understand their needs, deliver above and beyond their expectations, and consistently strive to provide unparalleled value.

In April of 2015, Fairy Chimneys Travel privately chartered the luxury Azamara Journey cruisehip as its Anzac Centenary cruise. The ten day cruise ( from Athens to Istanbul staying at Gallipoli during Anzac Day on the 100th Anniversary of The Gallipoli Campaign ) was a great success. Over 600 guests visited the historic sites and paid their homage to the fallen soldiers. This once-in-a-lifetime experience was certainly a great success. We welcome you to visit our website so that you may acquaint yourself with our extensive variety of travel packages and destinations. We invite you to book with us and experience the convenience, reliability and expertise only Fairy Chimneys Travel can provide.

Finally, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our esteemed clients, travel agents and our suppliers for their continued support, and for the level of faith and trust with which they have entrusted us. We are very fortunate to work and operate within a dynamic and inspiring industry, and it is a privilege to work alongside colleagues with such high standards and commitment to excellence.

We very much look forward to being of service to you with the same philosophy in our 16th year.

Warm regards,

Marcus FalayManaging Director

WeatherIts Mediterranean climate makes Turkey an ideal year round destination. Most people choose to visit during Spring or Autumn, but the country enjoys sunny days right through the year. Along the coast, long hot summer days are tempered by refreshing sea breezes. Further inland, low humidity makes travel both relaxing and comfortable. Average temperatures for Istanbul and Kusadasi are:

MoneyTurkish lira is the local currency and can be readily obtained from banks, ATMs or money exchanges. While it is possible to tour using only ATMs, we recommend taking some cash and a credit card too.

VisasAustralians travelling to Turkey as a tourist or for business should apply for an e-visa online at www.evisa.gov.tr prior to travel. The current cost is 60USD (subject to change). Australians will have a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180 day period for tourists. New Zealand citizens who intend to travel to Turkey for tourism-related purposes for up to 90days do not require a visa in advance of travel to Turkey. Provided they can show sufficient funds to support themselves and evidence of onward travel bookings, they are usually granted entry to Turkey for a period of 90 days. All other visa types should be requested through your nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate.

AttireLight comfortable travel clothing is the most suitable for touring, but do consider your chosen travel season when packing. If you plan to visit Turkey’s famous mosques, ladies should also bring a scarf.
