Over 600 guests visited the historic sites and paid their homage to the fallen soldiers. This once-in-a-lifetime experience was certainly a great success. Day 4: Safranbolu, AmasraAfter breakfast, we start our tour from Hidirlik Hill to get a city view then discover Safranbolu's well-preserved wooden houses, Cinci Inn and Bath, old government building, the clock tower and the Arasta Bazaar where we will learn about the traditional handicraft shops. In the afternoon we drive to Amasra and visit the Roman castle and walls, wood-carving handicraft bazaar and the outer and inner piers of the city. B

Day 5: KastamonuAfter breakfast we will drive to Kastamonu, which is one of the rare cities where you can find great examples of traditional Turkish houses. B

Day 6: Inebolu, SinopThis morning we head for Inebolu with its wooden houses reflecting Rum (Byzantine or Ottoman

Greek) architecture, dark green nature and excellent coastline which amazes visitors. B

Day 7: Akliman, Hamsilos, Erfelek WaterfallWe depart from our hotel and visit Akliman Cove, Hamsilos Bay which offers rich natural beauty with green forests, colourful flowers and small inland bays where military ships took strategic advantage of the bays' hidden location during the First World War. Lastly we visit Erfelek Waterfall, where you will be able to trek through the park and find many cascading waterfalls and other beautiful natural scenes. B

Day 8: Ordu, TrabzonToday we will drive towards the Black Sea coast to Trabzon, stopping on the way for a short visit to Yason Church which stands along one of the most picturesque locations on the Black Sea coast. Then you will have great photo opportunity at Boztepe before heading to Trabzon. B

Day 9: TrabzonToday we tour Trabzon and surrounds, visiting the historical Hagia Sophia Church. Proceed to Uzungol, a picturesque lake surrounded by thick woods before returning back to hotel. B

Day 4: Ankara – Cappadocia Visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, a historic caravanserai holding artefacts from up to 7500 years old including the most extensive and valuable collection of Hittite artefacts in the world. Visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey. Drive to Cappadocia, touring a 13th century caravanserai en route. Pay a visit to the underground city of Saratli, one of the many underground settlements built for protection and religious reasons. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and join an optional Whirling Dervishes performance. Overnight in Cappadocia. B, D

Day 5: CappadociaConsider an optional early morning hot air balloon tour and experience floating through volcanic valleys, fairy chimneys and caves at sunrise. After breakfast visit Goreme, a historical region of Turkey, located among the rock formations, which was first settled back in the Roman period. Many rock churches can still be seen today, as Christianity was then the prevailing religion in that region. Continue to the town of Avanos renowned for its high quality earthenware. Also visit Pasabagi, Red Valley and attend a brief regional pottery workshop in a cave. B, D

Day 6: Cappadocia – Pamukkale Drive to Pamukkale. En route, visit the famous mausoleum of the Sufi philosopher, Mevlana. This was also the dervish lodge of the Mevlevi order, better known as the Whirling Dervishes. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale. B, D

Day 7: Pamukkale – Kusadasi Visit the unique cotton fortress of Pamukkale, with its white lime cascades formed by mineral springs, and the ruins of the Roman health spa of Hierapolis. Proceed to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight. B, D

Day 8: Ephesus & St. Mary’s House – Kusadasi Tour the famous ruins of Ephesus, an important cultural centre of the ancient world, and explore 2,000 year-old marble streets, a theatre, the Library of Celsius, a gymnasium and Hadrian’s Temple. Take a short drive to see St. Mary’s stone cottage where it is believed Virgin Mary spent her last years accompanied by St. John. Day 4: Hattusa, CappadociaEarly morning departure for Cappadocia, visit the ancient Hittite capital of Hattusa. In the Yazilikaya rock sanctuary there are impressive carved reliefs that portray the Hittite gods. Continue to the unique volcanic area of Cappadocia. B, D

Day 5: Goreme, Uchisar CastleMarvel at the lunar landscape with a fully guided tour of Goreme Valley, the fairy chimneys, Uchisar castle, explore the many levels of an underground city and more. B, D

Day 6: Konya, BeysehirMorning departure to Konya along the old Silk Road, visit Sultanhani Caravanserai and Mevlana Museum. This centre celebrates Rumi, the famous mystic and poet who founded the Sufi Order of the Whirling Dervishes. Afterwards we drive to Beysehir. B, D

Day 7: Antalya, SagalassosAfter breakfast, we drive to ancient site of Sagalassos which dates back to 25 B.C., visiting the Antonin's Fountain, Hamam or large bath house built in second century. After this, we see the still intact ruins of the area, the highest theatre in Anatolia. The theatre was built as a single storey in 180-200 A.D., with the view of the landscape kept in mind for the audience. Sagalassos is one of the best preserved cities in all of Asia. B

Day 2: Mt. Nemrut – Cappadocia We depart from hotel very early in the morning up to the Mount Nemrut. At the end of the road, we get off the van and walk twenty-five minutes until the summit. Here we watch the memorable sun rise between the colossal size statues and heads of the kings and Gods. We then visit Arsemia, which was once the capital of the Commagene Kingdom before continues to the ancient Septimus Severus Bridge over the Cendere stream, and the Karakus tumulus where members of the royal family were buried. After having your breakfast, we will drop you at Adiyaman bus station, to catch a local bus to Kayseri.

Day 1: Marmaris Boarding starts by 15.30 at Marmaris Marina. You will have time for visiting the old town and bazaar of Marmaris with its small streets and hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants. The castle of Marmaris lies on the old town hill and offers a beautiful view across the harbor. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Marmaris.

Day 2: Ekincik Gulf – DalyanAfter breakfast you will be informed about the cruise itinerary and boat. The cruise will move towards Ekincik Gulf and overnight stay will be in this beautiful gulf. You may join optional Dalyan excursion. The participants will be taken from the yacht with a smaller boat called ‘Piyade’ which will bring you into the green delta of Dalyan through the Lycian Rock Tombs. You may see the Caretta-Caretta turtles on the way if you are lucky. You will have a swimming stop at a unique place called Caretta –Caretta beach. There will be a mud bath occasion on the way back. Final destination before getting on the boat will be the village of Dalyan.

Day 3: Tersane Island, Sunken Turkish Bath – Kizil IslandBecause of the wavy seas of Disibilmez and Kurtoglu capes that we have to cross, we will cruise earlier than the other days and reach the world-famous Gocek Gulf. We will anchor at Sunken Bath for breakfast and swimming break. This place is also known as Cleopatra Bay or Sunken Bath Bay due to the beautiful underwater ruins of an old bath. Then we will cruise to Tersane Island. This naturally protected harbor was used as a shipyard in Byzantine and Ottoman times. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Kizil Island.

Day 4: FethiyeArrive at Fethiye Harbor early in the morning. Fethiye, which was known as Telmessos in the ancient times, was the most important city situated on Lycia's western border with Caria. It is believed that the city's name comes from Apollo’s son Telmessos. As the name suggests, the city was the city of light and was famous for its prophets. We also

offer optional jeep safari tour in Fethiye. For those who will not join the Safari, the boat will cruise to Samanlik Bay for lunch and swimming. Day 1: Bodrum Boarding starts at 15:30 from Bodrum Harbour. On the first day, our boat will remain anchored in Bodrum Port for dinner and stay at the port an overnight.

Day 2: Orak Island – Cokertme After your breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise itinerary and the boat. Then we will cruise to Orak Island. Here you will have the opportunity of swimming in the crystal-blue waters of Orak Island and enjoying lunch, we will then sail to Cokertme, a small and picturesque fishing town, for dinner and an overnight stay. If the weather conditions permit, it may be possible to use the sail on the way. Guests are welcome to take a short walk on the shore.

Day 3: Seven Islands (Kufre / Uzun Lima – Long Port), English Harbour Before breakfast in the early morning, we will cruise to Seven Islands. You will experience another excellent day in the Seven Islands Region. In this region which is full of many small islands and coral reef, it is recommended that you should dive, swim, sleep and rest. Our guests can also enjoy a walk in the forests which are filled with pine trees. Our first stop in Seven Islands Region will be Kufre Bay. Then we will be anchoring at Uzun Liman (Long Port). Afterwards, we will cruise to English Port for dinner and an overnight stay. (The name English Port comes from the time of 2nd World War as the ships of British Navy forces used to dock here). In this area, there are so many small and large bays which are suitable and sheltered enough to anchor.

Day 4: Cleopatra Island – Karacasogut We will cruise to Sedir (Cedrae) Island. This unique island with its small beach and unbelievable clear water is like an open-air museum. You can see the city walls, the temple from the time of Dorians' reign (later restored as a church), the amphitheatre with 1.500 guest capacity and some vaulted historical buildings. You can walk around the wrecks of pillars with antique writings on them or the ancient stones decorated with reliefs. Cleopatra Beach, located on this island, has a very special kind of sand that can only be found in the deserts of Northern Africa. According to the myth, King Antonius brought the sand from Egypt via sea for Cleopatra. Then our boat will sail to Karacasogut village for dinner and spend the night there. This lovely village is located at 25 km away from Marmaris. Therefore, it is possible to visit Marmaris via 'dolmus'(mini buses) if you want. We also have an optional tour to Dalyan - Caunos.

Day 5: Langoz, Tuzla Morning swimming will soon become a part of your daily activities. For lunch, our captain will cruise to Longoz Bay; another place which is like paradise, sheltered with huge pine forests. After lunch, you can enjoy a short walk in the forest and take a rest in Ali Baba's local shed-like cafe.

Day 6: Kargili, Kisebuku (Alakisla Buku)We will be in Kargili Bay (Molla Ibrahim Bay) early in the morning. After lunch, we will be anchoring at Kisebuku (Alakisla Buku).Here you can see the ruins of Byzantines. We will spend the night in this lovely bay.

The 'Mausoleum' of King Mausolus (350 B.C.) one of the Seven Wonders of the World is in this city. The only structure that survived from the Classical Era is the Amphitheatre. It is one of the oldest theatres in Anatolia with a capacity of 13.000 guests and it is still hosting many shows and concerts for the art-lovers of Bodrum. Another place that you should visit when you arrive in Bodrum is the landmark of the city, the 'Castle of Saint Peter'. It is one of the best preserved pieces of architecture with a history dating back to the Middle Ages. 'Myndos Gate' through which Alexander the Great entered Halicarnassus is another place that you should not miss.

Day 2: Cos (Kos)Following the breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise itinerary and the boat. After the customs formalities are completed, we will cruise to Kos Island. Asclepion, known to be the birth place of Hippocrates, who is 'the Father of Medical Sciences', is located here. All the people from the east Mediterranean with health problems were treated in Kos. Kos; the second largest island of the 12 islands (the Dodecanese Islands) has a very mild climate and very fertile lands. The island houses a 560-year-old tree, a 211-year-old fountain and a 290 km long beach. You may take a quick swim in Lambi Beach which is very close to Kos Harbor. Kos is one of the islands with the best night life. Nafklirou, a street full of bars, is always crowded, colorful, and full of life.

Day 3: Pserimos, Leros We will start to cruise early in the morning to Pserimos Island for breakfast and a swimming break. Then we will cruise to the beautiful island of Leros. Leros is a mountainous, green island with high cliffs and many small bays and villages. After lunch and a swimming break in Xerakampos, we will anchor at Lakki Harbour or Agia Marina Port located in the east. You should visit Platanos the main city of Leros with steep stairs, narrow streets, and flower gardens. From Platanos you can take the steps leading up the Castle of Leros climbing 300 steps! Rent a bike or explore this island on foot.

Day 4: PatmosWe will cruise to Patmos Island early in the morning. We will have a swimming break in a bay around the island. Patmos is not a big island, but it is one of the best known. It was here that St. John completed the last part of 'The Apocalypse of John', and this is why Patmos is sometimes called "The Jerusalem of the Aegean". The Monastery of St. John’s towers above the capital, a village called Chora, and actually the whole island breathes of faith and devotion. According to mythology, Patmos was a present from Zeus to his daughter Artemis, goddess of hunting and young women. She was worshipped here in antiquity, and the monastery of St. John was built on

her temple. You may have an optional tour to these places. After breakfast, you may have a walk through the monasteries. Our yacht will stay in Patmos Port for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lipsi We will set sail to Lipsi Island. We will have a swimming break in one of the many small islands in front of Lipsi. On Lipsi Island there are beautiful sandy beaches, like Platis and Giolos with their crystal green waters. The capital with its white houses, numerous taverns, cafeterias and restaurants is located in the small natural port. On the island, the Church of the Catopanaghia constructed in the 7th century deserves a visit, along with the Church of Panopanaghia from the 15th century.

Day 6: Kalimnos We will take a swimming break in a beautiful bay around Kalimnos Island. We are going to enter Pothia Harbor which is the capital of the island. The islanders ensured their livelihood with sponge diving for centuries. There are nice beaches such as Massouri, Mirties and Vlyhadia around the island.

Day 7: Akvaryum – Bodrum For the customs we will enter the port of Turkey. We will have a swimming break at the beautiful waters of Akvaryum (Aquarium) where you can see the fish swimming below you . We will be staying at Bodrum Harbor for dinner and our final overnight stay.

Day 3: Gyali – Nisyros - SymiEarly in the morning, we will have a swimming break at a bay of Gyali Island on the way to Nisyros Island. The volcano on Nisyros erupted in 1422 and is still active. Nikea village, located on the side of the crater is constituted with white streets and a mosaic-style square. You can take an optional bus tour to the crater (volcano). We will anchor at Symi Port late in the afternoon. You can see the shoreline with its neo-classical houses and the peripheral districts. You are going to adore Symi Island for its pine and oak forests and unique bays.

Day 4: Rhodos: We will cruise to Rhodes early in the morning. Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands. The island is quite a popular holiday destination as it has one of the best-preserved and the largest European Medieval cities and has warm weather for 300 days of the year. Rhodes has been the cradle of many civilizations; starting with the knights of St. John in the Middle Ages, then Ottomans and Italians. Thus, the island has a unique historical harmony and beauty. Here you can join our optional old city tour. The main port of Rhodes is Rhodes City which bears the same name as the island. The other very touristic

areas of Rhodes island are; Lindos and Kamiros. Here there will be another optional tour for Lindos. This city, which is still surrounded by a 12 meter thick city-wall which gives you the feeling of travelling back to Medieval times especially when you walk around its narrow, stone-paved roads. After dinner, we highly recommend you to enjoy in Rhodes Town night out.

Day 5: Datca, KargiWe return to Turkey via Datca. Datca was founded by the Dorians who came from Aegean Sea to the southern coast of Ionia in the 7th century B.C. The island has no humidity at all and has fresh air with plenty of oxygen. The historian Strabon was right when he remarked of Datca’s weather: "God would send his beloved servants to Datca to live longer". According to a myth while the Spanish pirates were passing by the coast of Datca, they disembarked people with Hansen's disease in Sariliman Bay and these abandoned people recovered from their disease with the help of the clean weather of Datca. You may take a walk in Datca Harbor. Our last stop will be Kargı Bay.

Day 6: Inceburun – Palamutbuku, KnidosWe will start to sail towards Inceburun. The breakfast and a swimming break will take place here. After that we will cruise to Palamutbükü for lunch and a swimming break. We will cruise to Cnidus for dinner and an overnight stay. Cnidus was a developed city in science, art and architecture. Eudoxos, a very popular astronomer and maths professor; Dr. Euryphon; Polygontos, a popular painter; Skopas and Bryaksis of Faros, the most famous sculptors of the era; Sostrates, the architect of Alexandrian light house -one of the seven wonders of the World- and Ktesias the doctor, who saved the life of a Presian king from a disaster, lived on this island. Dr. Euryphon and his students founded the second biggest medical science school in Cnidus. The island also hosts the largest sun clock of its time which was erected by Eudoksos. Knidos was the home for Aphrodite's monument and in those times the city was famous for brothels and became popular for sailors and Arabic tradesmen. You may take a walk on the shore to see the ruins.

Day 7: Black Island – Poyraz Harbour - BodrumWe will begin to cruise early in the morning to Karaada (Black Island). Breakfast and a swimming break will be at Poyraz Bay which is located on the northern side of the island. This is such a nice bay with its turquoise-blue waters. MoneyTurkish lira is the local currency and can be readily obtained from banks, ATMs or money exchanges. While it is possible to tour using only ATMs, we recommend taking some cash and a credit card too.

VisasAustralians travelling to Turkey as a tourist or for business should apply for an e-visa online at www.evisa.gov.tr prior to travel. The current cost is 60USD (subject to change). Australians will have a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180 day period for tourists. New Zealand citizens who intend to travel to Turkey for tourism-related purposes for up to 90days do not require a visa in advance of travel to Turkey. Provided they can show sufficient funds to support themselves and evidence of onward travel bookings, they are usually granted entry to Turkey for a period of 90 days. All other visa types should be requested through your nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate.
