urban sources – the Lowry Theatre “tower” the gate at Falerii Novi, Lazio, King’s College Chapel, Haddiscoe Church Norfolk, the two chimneys to the North East of the site, the colours of the student lodging bricks
Draft sketches 6 November•A narrow corridor style rectangular •building with concave glass sides in 14 bays.
•Two brick 4 storey “arch” ending facades.
•Two “tower” chimneys. The south facing is 9500mm diameter and contains a lift
• The opposite square tower has a lift
•There are two centrally placed lifts to the 5 floors and a roof garden
•An independent access tower café restaurant on floors 5/6/7 of the south west tower
•A roof piazza with 16 mature trees on a steel frame table
•Two reclaimed slate roof sets either side of the roof garden
•Cistern at North end supplies all non drinking water and sprinkler system
