EMA2 scholarships

• Overall objective - achieving better understanding and mutual enrichment between the European Union and Third Countries co-operation in the field of higher education

• Scholarships for European and Third country students, researchers and Staff.

• Programme funded by the European Union

• Project based -> VUB is partner in 3 projects

• Brazil, Argentina, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Cuba, China, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, North Korea and Thailand

Scholarships

• Monthly subsistence allowance:

– Ba / Ma: € 1000/month– PhD: € 1500/month– Postdoc: € 1800/month– Staff: € 2500/month

• Insurance: travel, health, accident• Travel costs: 1 return ticket• Tuition fee paid by project if mobility 10 months or more (not

for postdoc), otherwise fee waiver

How to apply?

1. Check the project website2. Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria – otherwise you

cannot apply. -> Registered at VUB;

-> Completed at least 1 year of Bachelor studies3. Determine your type of mobility and field of study and

check the availability of the scholarships 4. Inform yourself about the host university Study the

project website and the university information !!5. Make sure you have the support of VUB Contact the exchange coordinator of your department!!6. Make sure that you have all the relevant documents
