Race day registration & check-in opens at 7:00 AM and closes 20 minutes prior to race start. ENTRY FEE: Pre-Registration entry is $28.00. Race Day entry add $7.00. Second race entry is $5.00. Junior races (10-18) areFREE. Juniors must pay regular entry fee for category races if NOT entering a Junior race. The Newbie/First-Timer Race Pre-registration fee is only $18.00.

COURSE: Course is a 2.2-mile (3.5k) loop through the Kalyra Winery Vineyard. It has rolling hills as well as one steep climb at thefinish of each lap. The course is completely off-road and will have no traffic. Start and finish will be at the large metal arches. Neutrasupport will be available before each race and two wheel pit areas will be available near the start/finish area. (See course map).This will be a CHIP TIMED event. Lap times will be recorded and included in the results the day after the event.

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 101, take SR 246 east through Solvang to Refugio Road, turn right (south) and go approximately 1 mileto the entrance of the winery.  From SR 154, take SR 246 west approximately 2.5 miles to Refugio Road, turn left (south) and goapproximately 1 mile to the entrance of the winery.

CYCLING LICENSE FEE: A USA Cycling license is not required for race participants at this event of the Series. However, the

event will still use the typical USA Cycling / CX Categories (Cat 1-4) for race divisions ( Proof of Cat level is still required ). Newriders without proof of Category will only be able to participate in the CX Cat 4 level events including Masters Categories: Women35+, 45+, Men 35+ 3/4, Men 45+ and 55+.

RULES: All 2010 USA Cycling and CX rules apply and will be enforced. The event will be held rain or shine. Sorry, no refundsCyclocross and Mountain Bikes (no bar ends) are best. Bike and wheel changes and water feeds are allowed in the designated pitareas. Riders must wear helmets at all times when on a bike. Riders shall stay on the course or existing trails. Please respect thevenue and property owners who are allowing us to use the vineyard for this very unique race. Also, do not preview or warm up on thecourse while a race is in progress  –  you will be DQ’d. Please show up early with plenty of time in between race waves to get on thecourse.

CATEGORIES & UPGRADES: Detailed information on categories and upgrades can be found at  www.USACycling.org. As ageneral rule, Road and MTB riders who race Cyclocross should be racing in categories as listed below. No sandbagging. Pleaseupgrade when eligible. Cyclocross Cat 1: Road Pro or Cat 1; MTB Pro Cyclocross Cat 2: Road 2; MTB 1 or 2

Cyclocross Cat 3: Road 3 or 4; MTB 1 or 2 Cyclocross Cat 4: Road 4 or 5; MTB 3; 1-day license

CYCLOCROSS RACING AGE: A rider’s racing age for the 2010-11 Cyclocross Season is the 'racing age' they’ll be the year of 

the CX World Championships which take place in January 30-31, 2011. Therefore, your racing age for the entire Cyclocrossseason is based on your age as of 12/31/2011.

RESULTS: Race results will be posted near the awards area immediately following each race. Please make sure to check yourresults within the 15 minute posting/protest period or they will be final. Weekly Race Results and Overall Series Standings areposted online at: www.SoCalCross.org and www.SBTiming.com.
