Project management for adaptation measures to DVGW G 680
Quality Management of gas appliance adaptation according to DVGW G 680
Counselling for network operators concerning the organization and staging of the market transformation
For optimization of the adjustment process of gas appliances (about 5 million gas appliances) the IT – based, DVGW-code of practice G 680 – certified, information system for appliances should serve as an industry solution.
There will be made an adjustment of about 400.000 to 450.000 gas appliances per year, whereby in the first years there will be a beginning with smaller quantities.
The converting and adaptation work including engineering and quality controls requires a certification to DVGW-code of practice G 676 – B1.
Quality controls are only for 10 % of the collected and adjusted appliances (about 40.000 to 45.000 appliances per year) necessary.
Quality controlling companies have to be certified to group B, engineering companies to group C (G 676 – B1).
Companies which implement converting and adaptation work have to be certified to group A (G 676 – B1).
DBI is currently in the certification process to group B and C (control of the converting and adaptation work, project management).
Because of the increase of L-gas in Germany and the Netherlands, the supply structure of natural gas will change until 2030 in the north and west of Germany (this regions are currently supplied with low calorific L-gas). Consequently, there will no longer exist any marketing of L-gas, so that a mar-ket transformation from L- to H- gas is required.
The necessary adjustment of domestic and industrial gas appliances will happen because of this market transformation under the leadership of the local distribution system operator or persons assigned by him, by people who are specialized in such work and also by DVGW – code of practice G 676 – B1 – certified specialist companies.
