Energy Monitoring And ManagementApplicationMultifunction power line analysers PLA 33 and power quality analysers PLA 44 are essential part of systems for energy managementand monitoring at industrial areas, office buildings, public service centres such as airports, railways and everywhere the energy flowcontrol is requested.
HM 2006 maximum demand controller is special device for load monitoring and control in order to reduce power peaks bydisconnection of particular loads.
Together with components for power factor correction, BMR offers complete range of power line analysers, quality analysers, maximum demand controllers and accessories for energy management and monitoring systems for various industry applications.
PLA range descriptionPLA 33 and PLA 44 are designed for electrical network parameters monitoring and energy management. Both types are fully 4quadrant devices with continual voltage and current measurement according to norm EN 50160.
Basic power line analyser PLA 33 is available in several variants. Simple variant is used for substitution of analogue devices. Variantswith communication interface, internal memory and digital inputs and outputs are offered as a measuring point for monitoring andenergy management in large SCADA systems.
PLA 44 analyser is an advanced power quality analyser which meets specification according to the norm EN 50160 class A. Thanks topowerful 32 bits processor brings many useful features for detailed monitoring and quality analyse of LV and MV networks. Largememory, various communication interfaces, easy setting and usage, suppose PLA 44 be used in SCADA systems or as a sole monitorin island applications.

DescriptionHM 2006 device is designed for electrical power demand regulation of bigger consumers.Regulation is optimized according to defined curve and set regulation or technical maximum. If trend of average demand verges to exceed the set demand value, particular stages of
electrical loads are being disconnected. In the casethat the trend verges under the set level, controller isreconnecting disconnected circuits.
Controller has 5 inputs, which are used for energymeter pulses of +P, +Q, -P, -Q and synchronizationimpulse. One input can be used for tariff indication.Controller is normally connected to the energy meterpulse outputs via separation unit. Controller outputs
are realized by 6 changeover contacts 3A/250VAC which control mechanical contactorcircuits of defined electrical loads.
Operation principleHM 2006 controller regulates demand according to set maximal value of average hour demand in kW. This value is periodically compared withmeasured power demand during the quarter-hour and in the case of fast power demand increase over the defined neutral zone, controller starts todisconnect appropriate loads.
If the power demand decreases under the certain level and power demand reserve appears, controller starts to connect appropriate loads back to the system.
Device shows, during quarter-hour period, calculation of the average hour power demandin kW according to the real power demand. After incoming of the pulse for the newquarter-hour beginning, this value is being erased. All disconnected loads will beconnected back and new regulation cycle will start.
Maximum reached quarter-hour value of power, date and time of this event for every tariffseparately are recorded into internal memory. Those maximal values are accessible on thedevice display. History of every power demand curve during quarter-hour is saved to theinternal memory with capacity for 40 days of recording.
