The interior plan ofthe palace is quite simple, consisting of groups of rooms on a straight line, opening to alarger chamber, and forming a cohesive unit. Each private bedroom opens into a centralliving chamber. The outside grounds of the palace were completed by the additions of theMosque of the Queen Mother and the Clock Tower. Additional sections and buildings wereadded to the complex, such as the Treasury, the Glass Villa, and opposite the shore road, the pharmacy and the pastry kitchens of the palace.
