The following changes were made with effect from 5th Dec 2015:

• Values of “10”, “30” and “45” added to “Container Size” field.

• Values for Refrigerated Containers (RCL) and Empty Containers (ECL) added to the

“Container Type” field.

• Value ‘F’ added to the ‘Customs Status’ field to facilitate the declaration of community goods

moving to or from the special territories of the community

• “Previous Document Reference” field has been increased to 57 characters from its previous

value of 44.

• Rule (N166) has been removed from the data fields “Country of Routing” and “Loading

Place”.

The following changes were made with effect from Mar 2019:

• Mode of transport = 3 then must contain a value that consists of a IMO ship ID number (format n7) + a space + truck registration number ( a min 4 digits and max 16 digits characters) OR must contain a value consists of a ENI value (format n8 - first digit must be ‘9’) + a space + truck registration number ( a min 4 digits and max 16 digits characters)

• New Simplified Procedures types 4-8 added

• Goods being cleared under Simplified Procedures, the value of the goods is under €253.95

and a Supplementary Declaration is not required = 4

• Road consignment Note (N730) to be used when mode of transport = 3
