Description

• All the properties of toughened glass

EMALIT EVOLUTION and SERALIT EVOLUTION are EN 12150-compliant toughened glass products. The lead-free enamels used in the manufacture of EMALIT EVOLUTION and SERALIT EVOLUTION are fi red at a very high temperature and toughened. They are fully incorporated into the surface of the glass and provide the products with exceptional durability and stability over time.

For certain applications, the products can be tempered in compliance with standard EN 1863 (please check with us).EMALIT EVOLUTION is an opaque coloured glass obtained by the uniform deposit of a layer of enamel on one face.

SERALIT EVOLUTION is glass that has been screen printed with a coloured mineral enamel, which can be opaque or translucent.

Applications

The aesthetic and technical characteristics of EMALIT EVOLUTION and SERALIT EVOLUTION mean the products are suitable for a wide range of applications. Their aesthetic appeal, range of colours, durability and safety features mean that they are the obvious materials of choice for facades, street furniture and the interior décor buildings.

• Facades

Non-vision areasEMALIT EVOLUTION is the ideal material for facade cladding, creating aesthetically clean lines. The product is often used for ventilated rain screen systems and spandrel panels. Uniform facades or contrasting features can be created.

Vision areas- SERALIT EVOLUTION, when

laminated, can be used for guarding, roofi ng elements and footbridges, combining various patterns and colours.

- double glazingSERALIT EVOLUTION when assembled into double glazing, combines aesthetics and functionality. It can allow good visibility from the interior to the exterior and offers some protection from glare.

• As street furniture

SERALIT EVOLUTION is a durable safety glass; so it is suitable for street furniture and signs.

• For interior décor

EMALIT EVOLUTION is used in interior decoration when exceptional moisture resistance is required (wall coverings, furniture, laboratory equipment etc.).

SERALIT EVOLUTION provides natural light transmission; it adds brightness, as well as safety, to doors, partitions, balustrades, shower screens, and furnishings. It can also be used for wall coverings.

EMALIT EVOLUTION comes in a wide range of colours.To obtain maximum aesthetic effect, you can enamel different base glass products or develop special colours.

• SERALIT EVOLUTION design and functionality

Glassolutions offers a wide range of standard designs which are available in a number of colours. Customised designs, which can be in several colours, can be developed for specifi c projects.

On facades, SERALIT EVOLUTION can be used to increase the solar control performance of double glazing; the spectrophotometric properties will vary according to the density and colour of the design.

• EMALIT EVOLUTION and SERALIT EVOLUTION are manufactured by companies in the “GLASSOLUTIONS” network. The quality of these products is stipulated in the specifi cations.

Two products ranges create different effects, bringing out the brilliance of glass, or creating a refl ective fi nish.

EMALIT EVOLUTION CLASSICAvailable in a palette of 18 standard shades, EMALIT EVOLUTION CLASSIC is applied to:- clear SGG PLANILUX ;- extra-clear SGG DIAMANT ;- tinted SGG PARSOL.

EMALIT EVOLUTION REFLETAvailable in three shades, EMALIT EVOLUTION REFLET provides facades with the refl ective effect of a solar-control glass such as SGG ANTELIO or SGG COOL-LITE ST150.

NoteTo achieve uniform colour, Glassolutions recommends the use of a single thickness of glass in the same project. Colours will vary slightly according to the thickness of the glass.

• SERALIT EVOLUTION

SERALIT EVOLUTION COLOROpaque and brilliant, the chosen design can be produced in the 18 standard shades of the EMALIT EVOLUTION CLASSIC range.SERALIT EVOLUTION COLOR is manufactured on:- clear SGG PLANILUX ;- extra-clear SGG DIAMANT ;- tinted SGG PARSOL.- SGG ANTELIO, SGG COOL-LITE K, SK

and ST150 solar-control glass.

NoteThe layer of enamel applied by silk-screen printing is not as thick as the full surface deposition; this means that the shades of SERALIT EVOLUTION will be slightly less dense compared with those of EMALIT EVOLUTION.

• Hardened glass

For certain applications, EMALIT EVOLUTION and SERALIT EVOLUTION are obtained in the form of tempered glass as specifi ed in standard EN 1863 (please check with us).

• Bespoke designsSpecial production runs are possible with SERALIT EVOLUTION. In this case, the designer will provide samples of colours and/or the graphic items necessary to create the silk screens.Prototypes will be supplied before manufacture. Once the fi nal product has been fully approved, the creator will order an additional piece to serve as a reference for additional orders or possible replacements.

Processing

Processing of SERALIT EVOLUTION

• ComfortSERALIT EVOLUTION can be assembled in to double glazed units.

• SafetySERALIT EVOLUTION can be laminated to make standard STADIP or enhanced STADIP PROTECT safety glass.The silk-screen printed surface must be placed on the outside of the assembly.

• DesignSERALIT EVOLUTION can be curved (check with us).

Installation

• FittingIn all cases, EMALIT EVOLUTION and SERALIT EVOLUTION must be fi tted in compliance with the regulations in force. The recommendations included below refer to the fi tting of monolithic glass.

• Mechanical fi xingsEMALIT EVOLUTION and SERALIT EVOLUTION can be channel glazed, adhesively glazed or screw-fi xed. Glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal contact must be avoided. There must be a minimum clearance of 3 mm between two adjacent panes.

In order to retain their aesthetic appearance, it is not recommended to fi t either product with the enamelled surface facing out (face 1).

For facades, heat soak testing is always advisable, in accordance with EN 14179.

• Adhesively glazedEMALIT EVOLUTION can also be installed in exterior structural sealant glazing, in ventilated, unventilated or insulated spandrel panels.

For adhesive glazing, ensure that the sealant is not visible. For certain applications, high opacity enamelling is available on request (please contact us).

EMALIT EVOLUTION has not been designed to offer transparency; it is always fi tted in front of an opaque wall. For light colours, you are advised to place a support with a uniform colour behind EMALIT EVOLUTION.

• MaintenanceTo preserve all their aesthetic qualities, EMALIT EVOLUTION and SERALIT EVOLUTION should be regularly cleaned with gentle cleaning products, free from abrasive ingredients.
