Follow the road to the back parking lot by the senior center. Meet bus in parking lot. Follow signs for “Whitey Huber Walking Trail” – go to the sign nearest the river, not the senior center. There is a bench on the right side of the trail before you get to the cross path to the pavilion. Take the dirt trail behind the bench to the river. The trail leads to a grassy bank. The water is very shallow, the river bottom is rippled and uneven, with some submerged rocks. = bus meeting place/parking lot = sampling site Nearby bathroom facilities: Mobil/Express Mart 6640 Clinton St Turn right on Bowen Road. Head north to Clinton Street. Station is on left at intersection. Sunoco Gas Station 2180 Bullis Rd Turn left on Bowen Road. Head south to Bullis Road. Station is on right at intersection.
