World consumption per year: - 3.700 Mton in 2012 = about 500 kg per person - 58% in China - World consumption in 2050 to 5.500 Mton cementverbruik?
- On average 160 kg CO2 per m3 concrete- 77% m/m comes from cement

Future value of buildings?

separation of end materials:wood, concrete, brick, metal, glass
Future value of buildings?
-Why not design buildings that can be utilized as a recourse pool for a new construction?
-Why not consider demolition as a design error?
-Why not design buildings as trasnformable monuments and systems that can serve multiple purposes?
The design of sustainable building runs the danger of being carried out on an
ad hoc basis without transformation aspects of the building structure being an
integral part of the design process.

Design building as a flower that make people happy,
that is source of inspiration, curiosity, positive feeling and expression of love,
Flower that is self regulated and adjustable to the climate,
and extends its life through future flowers ...
Story behind / BUILDINGS AS FLOWERS
Sustainable future: Technology is only a tool to provide better quality of life.Psychological human needs often overrule physical once. Design is the place where purpose and meaning revive the matter. This makes design become fundamental to our physical and psychological comfort and key to sustainable wellbeing.
