On e of th e strongest argumen ts fo r d i v i s i on was th e fact of two h ighschool s i n one town— m i l es apart . Th e act of i n corporati on of th e Town ofS outh Dan ve rs was passed May 18 , 185 5 . I t was agreed th at su rp l u s re venu es of th e town of Danve rs b e d i v i ded pro rata between the ch i l dre n from5 to 1 5 years of age .
