• Jackson fires 10% of government officials, replacing them with DEMOCRATS

• Enacts forced relocation of Cherokee even though Supreme Court ruled they had a right to stay in Georgia

• South Carolina nullifies a Tariff• VP Calhoun supports this “states right”• Jackson threatens military force
