Advanced Services on SmartEdge Overview & Fundamentals

Description This course consists of two modules, Overview and Fundamentals The Overview module gives an overview of what the Advanced Services Engine (ASE) is in relation to SmartEdge. It illustrates the benefits of ASE and the market drivers for it. It also explains the different services that are offered by Advanced Service Engine. The Fundamentals module describes the Advanced Services Engine Card in detail and includes key ASE concepts including ASE Functionality and ASE Architecture. The course also gives an in depth explanation of the Advanced Services Processor (ASP) and the relationship between ASP Pools and Groups. Description

The Ericsson Device Connection Platform Service Portal contains self-service functionality to manage and control installed Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) base, including real-time access to monitor operational levels, support management, and access statistics.

This course will allow the operator to become familiar with the Enterprise On-boarding processes and develop a clear understanding of what is required in order to submit a service request to add an enterprise user into the platform.

DCP Operations Assurance

Description Operators must ensure that they know the Operations Assurance processes and that they understand their role within the support chain. This course will allow the operator service desk personnel guidance on customer support processes, ways of working and service desk requirements. The operator will gain an understanding of how to effectively communicate to enterprise users and roaming partners and gain knowledge of the data required in order to submit a trouble ticket to Ericsson 1st level assurance team. This includes: Service Layer Agreement, Service Request, Ticket Handling, NOC, BMC Remedy.

HetNet in a Nutshell

Description ‘Heterogeneous’ or HetNet for short stands for the different types of base stations (macro, micro, pico, relay) that are operating on different technologies (GSM, WCDMA and LTE) that are used together in the same network to build the good coverage and high capacity that end-users demand from their operator (contrary to ‘homogeneous’ networks that are mainly built with one type of base station, often macro). The focus of this training is on building the participant’s knowledge of the HetNet and how it is implemented by Ericsson. This is a thirty minute, web based learning module.

Description

Ericsson is building a product, a distributed cloud infrastructure which is open, environmentally friendly, reliable, and secure. One of the main elements of the Ericsson Cloud System is the part identified as Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) The SGSN-MME15A can be deployed on cloud systems, as a number of virtual machines (VMs). The virtual SGSN-MME can flexibly use the resources in the virtual data center by applying scaling. The virtual SGSN-MME can either scale in or scale out. The virtual MME (vMME) and the virtual IMS (vIMS) are examples of a NFV in the Ericsson Cloud System.
