PART 01INTRODUCTION.

OUR VISION

The Edinburgh International Asia Conference (EIAC)

is a high level platform for youth leadership and engagement in Asia,

in which we invite top academics and professionals to expand their outlooks,

inspire interest in the region, and connect them with the opportunities to

use their knowledge to create positive impact and emerge as leaders in their

fields. Scotland has some of the best and brightest students, and we aim to

provide them with the best and brightest thinkers, leaders, and global

shapers from whom they can learn, be inspired by, and engage with.

OURHISTORY

In 2015, we launched EIAC as the first ever youth-led Asia-Scotland initiative. It was a highly successful event, sponsored by the Scottish Government, Confucius Institute for Scotland, and the University of Edinburgh and supported by organizations including Goldman Sachs, the Asia-Scotland Institute, and the Scotland China Education Network. This year, we are expanding our reach across Scotland, creating a network of students and young professionals seeking opportunities for engagement and dialogue in Asia.

Inspire youth to seek greater knowledge of and deeper engagement with Asia.

Recognize outstanding students in their field of studies who have concentrated on the Asian region.
