Attendance Every day is important.

The Department of Education has communicated with schools that their expectation of students is 95% attendance.

School Attendance –

• Your child is required by law to attend every day that the school is operating.

• If they are sick then they need to stay at home and recover. If you take your child to see a doctor it would be

a good idea to ask for a medical certificate and send this along to the class teacher or the office.

• Whenever your child is away you are required to let the school know of this absence. Please call the school on 58812612 and let us know or send in an explanation note.

• If your child’s attendance falls below an unexplained absence rate of 90% you will receive a letter to explain why they have been away.

• If the explanation does not meet NSW Department of Education guidelines then the Home School Liaisons Officer (HSLO) will contact with you if your child’s attendance does not improve.

• One of our priorities is to have students attend school regularly so that they can continue to learn.

All students are expected to return to school this term unless they have a medical certificate. Students will not be learning from home.

Edward Excellence Congratulations to all the student who followed our school values and Rainbow rules and received an Edward excellence letter in the mail. Thank you for making Edward Public the friendly, inclusive school that values learning and improvement.

Production Students are getting back into their practising for their Production item. It looks like the Production this year will be recorded and put up on our Facebook page. Your child’s teacher will send home a note regarding costumes and props that your child needs.

2022 Kindergarten Enrolments Enrolments are now being taking for 2022. Please contact the school for an information pack. Enrolment can be done online. Please see our school website and you can pick up a paper form from the office. If you know anyone who would like some information about enrolling at our school, please ask them to contact the office on 58821612.

NAPLAN Results NAPLAN results were sent home with students the last week of Term 3. If you would like to discuss your child’s NAPLAN results with their teacher, please contact the office to make an appointment.

Thank you to everyone for the support that you give our school. We are looking forward to a great term.
