Edmodo is an effective web-based tool that provides a connection between teachers and students.

Edmodo is similar to Facebook in the setup and ease of use of the program. Which makes it easier for students and teachers to navigate.

Teachers and students can post comments, questions, and answers via this web-based program.

PROS FOR EDMODO

Edmodo is free to use and contains no advertising. It provides a secure learning environment

protected by built-in privacy controls. Teachers can post messages for their students and

students can post messages to the group. Post classroom assignments, encourage

discussions and track progress online. Teachers can also grade assignments online

providing convenient feedback.

Enables teachers to network with other teachers to share ideas and resources.

Users can connect via mobile smart phones and be updated with the latest posts.

It has a calendar feature which helps track assignments and events.

There can be co-teachers within a group which is great if you co-teach a class.

•Once a student has an Edmodo account, all he or she has to do is input the code provided by their teacher to add additional classes.

•Edmodo acts as a teacher tool to help streamline classroom routine, but it also provides teachers with the opportunity to teach responsible interaction via digital means, reinforcing good digital citizenship.

•In addition, it gets students ready to use online tools after they graduate from school.
