What is Edmodo?

Why do we need to use this type of tech?
Teaches 21st Century Skills
Allows for anytime, anywhere learning
Allows for more student participation
Creates a library of all your files in one easy to access place.
Offers students a means to turn in work
electronically.

What do the kids do with it?
Create groups to allow students to collaborate and communicate.
Allow students to have “almost instant” access to you for questions on homework outside of school.
Place all your class documents in the Edmodo library.
Allow students to work electronically.

3. Create an account - helpful to have students use their student ID and then come up with a password they will remember. Lots of children use their middle name.

Parents & Edmodo
Edmodo is a great way to involve parents in what is happening in the classroom. They can sign up and access what is happening with their own child.
You will have to generate a parent code first. Once you have done that, I have attached a letter that is in Word that you can add your own information
on to send home with students.

To generate a parent code:1. Click the members tab at the top.2. Click on a member (student). 3. Click on parent code. 4. The code will pop up and that is what parents will use.
