It is important to raise awareness for our students and how they can keep themselves safe. Presentation Day Tomorrow is our annual school Presentation Day. It is expected that ALL student wear full school uniform for this official occasion. As this is a special assembly and culminates 2014 at Eden Public School I would like to remind all students that their best manners are expected throughout the entire event. Please make sure your child has a signed permission note to attend this event. School Closed As the entire school will be at the Presentation from 11am until 12 noon, the school will be closed during this time. Please contact the school prior to or after these times. In case of an emergency, please contact Eden Marine High School on 64960000. Brekkie Club This week is the last week of Brekkie Club for 2014. Bullying Talk

I would like to thank Senior Constable John Smith for his presentation on ‘bullying’ this morning with our Stage 2 students. It is important to raise awareness for our students and how they can keep themselves safe.

Presentation Day

Tomorrow is our annual school Presentation Day. It is expected that ALL student wear full school uniform for this official occasion. As this is a special assembly and culminates 2014 at Eden Public School I would like to remind all students that their best manners are expected throughout the entire event.

Brekkie Club

This week is the last week of Brekkie Club for 2014. I would personally like to thank all of our volunteers for all their support of this very worthwhile initiative. A special thank you to BiLo, Red Cross and Campbell Page for supplying food and volunteers to support the program and to Mrs Daphne Hale and Mrs Overton for managing the program.

This program has now finished at Eden Public School. It will be replaced by a new program in 2015 called Sporting for Schools, which will begin later in 2015.

I would like to thank all the coaches and teachers for their support of this program for the last 5 years and also to all students that have participated in that time.

Special Mathletics Update

As this is my last Mathletics update for 2014, I would like to congratulate all the students who used Mathletics throughout the year. Special congratulation goes to those students who have received Gold, Silver and Bronze Certificates. Please remember students still have full access to Mathletics and Reading Eggs during the holidays. The top 3 classes for receiving Mathletics Certificates in 2014:

1. 1/2O with 427 certificates for 2014 2. 3/4K with 337 certificates for 2014 3. 5/6M with 246 certificates for 2014

Mathletics Update Week 10

Congratulations to all our students who received their GOLD and Silver Mathletics Certificates at last week’s assembly. Remember, all students can earn a Silver Certificate by getting five Bronze Certificates. Gold Certificates are achieved once a student has earned four Silver Certificates.

As the year comes to an end we wish to celebrate the success of student’s implementation of our values; Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. As a reward for the students we will be having a PBS Fun day at school on Monday 15th December. Please encourage students to wear our PBS colours. 9:00 - 11:00 Christmas craft competition 11:30 Tabloids Students will be split into groups and participate in a range of activities 12:30 Assembly PBS awards, Christmas craft competition will be judged and our P&C Toy raffle will be drawn during this time. 1:10 Sausage Sizzle Each student will be given a free sausage sandwich provided by the School. Stage 2 Celebration Day

To commemorate the end of a very successful year, all students in Stage 2 are invited to The Picture Showman, Merimbula, to view “Paddington (rated G)” in 2D on Friday December 12th. The bus will be departing Eden Public School at 9:30am and returning to the school at 1:30pm for students to return home as usual. Students are reminded to return their permission note and money to their classroom teacher before this Thursday.

MERIMBULA & BEGA SCHOOL HOLIDAY TENNIS CAMP

Sapphire Coast Tennis are running tennis camps

at the Merimbula & Bega Tennis Clubs for beginners to advanced players aged 5-16 years

over the school holidays.

MERIMBULA - The camp runs for 3 days: MON 19th, TUE 20th, WED 21st January from 1.00pm – 4.00pm. The 3 day camp will cost $65 per child.

There is a $5 discount per child if fees paid before the 19th December

BEGA - The camp runs for two days. THURSDAY and FRIDAY 22nd, 23rd January from 2.00pm -

5.00pm. The 2 day camp will cost $45 per child. There is a $5 discount per child if fees paid before
