2010 Trends
• Very Few Denials• Unexpected “customer base”– Very few small teams (< 5 riders) utilized housing– Most users were medium sized (5-10 riders) teams
2010 Issues
• Lack of large slots– Had to spread larger teams among several slots to
meet their needs• Prioritization– First Come, First Serve?– Based Upon Need
• Incomplete Host Information• Last minute additions
Ideas for the Future
• Appoint a Host Housing Promoter for Each Race– Make this a requirement!
• Standardized Forms for Host Housing Information– Use of GoogleDocs to avoid compatibility issues
Ideas for the Future
• Forecast Supply/Demand– Housing Availability Estimate by February Meeting– Housing Needs by February– Encourage better “effort” from both sides
• Expand Host Housing Pool– Other students, sports clubs, etc.– Members of the cycling community (non-collegiate)– Schools in the surrounding area (where applicable)
