THE BEGINNING

Our week starts when we leave Penllegaer Serives and travel through

England, France ,Germany and perhaps other countries to the

Salzburgerland in one of Snowslipper’s luxury coaches:

Toilet, Air Conditioning, DVD, etc.

SKI FITTING

On arrival in Alpendorf, we will go

to do the ski fitting.

Afterwards we will go to the

Bauernhof to settle in; for the

evening meal and an evening in;

ready for our first day on the

slopes

SKI FITTING IS CRUCIAL. IN ALPENDORF IT IS SUPER EFFICIENT AND SUPERVISED. A GOOD EXAMPLE OF HOW WELL THE SKI SCHOOL IS ORGANISED.

DAY BY DAY

On Sunday we all meet with our skireps and teachers in the Gondola Station coach park.

Here we pick up our equipment and ride up in the Gondola.

At the top we will be split into ski groups according to ability.

For the next six days we have 2 x 2.5 hours of lessons per day.

The instructors, who all speak fluent English, stay with the groups for

the lunch break as well. When the afternoon lessons have ended they

will hand the groups back to our staff.

The week ends with a presentation evening where cups, medals and

certificates are presented to everyone who has been in Ski School.

Our presentation is all about how we as a group and as individuals

have dealt with the good and the bad

How much we get from the course depends upon how much we put in

On our last day, after lessons, all equipment is handed back at the

Gondola station and we go back to the bauernhof.

We finish the packing started last night and…

After our 6pm evening meal , leave for home. ……
