Lions and Lioness,
I am so proud of the accomplishments of our clubs
throughout the district. We have accomplished
great things this year as we continue to strengthen the pride in Lion-
ism!
Spring is here and many clubs are again doing vision screenings. Let's
keep up the great work and enable more kids to see clearly, to learn
better, and to accomplish great things as they grow into outstanding
young men and women! Vision is so important to the development of
a youngster. By the time kids hit 6 years old, it becomes harder to
correct the causes of amblyopia - lazy eye. I know, I am amblyopic
and I lost the functional use of one eye at a young age, With our vi-
sion screening program, we can save other kids from this curable dis-
ability before it become permanent. We are Lions, we are strong and
we have caring hearts!
Many club members are just "asking one" to join their club. More
members means more hands to help; more members mean more car-
ing hearts, just like yours, to care for your community. Ask everyone
you know, who would make a great Lion, to join today!!
In closing, thank you so much for the hospitality and opportunities
your afforded Lion Kim and I when we visited your clubs. We had a
great time getting to know you, and getting to see what you do for
your communities!
We have just a little over 2 months in this Lion's year. Let's finish
STRONG!!
Yours in Lionism,
Lion Gary

Hello Lions, Lioness and Leos
Let me start by giving all clubs a big pat on the back for having all international, state, and district dues paid. 20-E2 was the only district in the state that was paid in full. JOB WELL DONE. The state convention was well attended. If you have never been please consider going next year. There are many informative seminars and you get to meet interesting Lions from all parts of the state. There are also many Lion dig-nitaries who are a wealth of knowledge who take the time to come and share their experiences with us. The dates will be May 13th thru May 15th in Buffalo, NY. I am looking forward to my year as your District Governor and hope to see another year of growth and enthusiasm as the Lions Centennial approaches

SODUS LIONS CLUB
The Lions Club of Sodus held their 18th annual “Harley Raffle” on Sunday, April 19. The weather was
beautiful and the drawing party was well attended. First prize was a 2015 Harley-Davidson Road King
with cash prizes of $500, $300, $200, and $100. The final numbers are not in yet but the club ex-
pects to raise around $10,000 on this fund raiser. The club sells 1000 tickets for $30 apiece. Ticket
buyers may attend a drawing party which includes a chicken barbeque. At the party there are vari-
ous side raffles to raise additional money. All of the tickets were sold well in advance of the party.
North Rose lions were nice enough to come and sell tickets for their upcoming fund raiser.
LAST CHANCE
The Corning Lions Club is selling chances on a Steuben Lion. Tickets are $5.00 each and
the drawing will be held in June. The Lion is in perfect condition and was obtained from the

Palmyra – Macedon Lions Club did something never done before in the history of the Pal-Mac Lions. Postponed the Easter Egg hunt from the April 4th to April 11th. It was cutting it close on April 4th the day before Easter, but due to snow covered ground and a threat of bad weather we thought it best. Although it was off schedule the children were there in full force and so were the Pal-Mac Lions. The vision screening is very busy and although the referrals are few, even one makes this a success. Lion Ed Plesa and new Lion Linda Pulcini gave the screenings. Eye glass collection has been up and there are a couple of new sources. We are hoping for some new members and have some in the wings. Our first road clean-up will be Wednesday, April 29th and from the looks of the residue after winter, it will mean many full bags of trash. Environ-mental Lion, Bill Bush has set up a great team and they will be helping with hard hats in place and vests on. Safety is always first on Route 31. The joint Pal-Mac Lion and Rotary Dinner was held on April 7th with a full house.. The meal was incredible and the location is always very special. Guest speaker was the President of the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance, Cindy Kimble; and what an insight into the importance of tourism in our Finger Lakes. The tourism industry employs approximately 56,000 and the money spent in this area yearly is over 2 billion a year. 1st photo: Ready, set, go. Easter egg hunt is on! 2nd photo: Pal-Mac Rotary President Bob Yost on the right and Pal-Mac Lion Bill Hassler on left. 3rd Photo: Environmental Lion Bill Bush on left and Lion Kathi Woodlock, VP Elections have been done and the next meeting will be with the Walworth Lions Club. There is lots going on and we are getting ready for a busy summer season. The flags at the Vietnam Memorial will be going up soon thanks to Li-on Ed Plesa and others.

WOLCOTT LIONS CLUB
Wolcott Lions Club welcomed guest speaker, Dr. Amanda Randall, Lake Breeze Chiro-practic, to the April 15 meeting. She gradu-ated from North Rose- Wolcott High School in 2006, and from Finger Lakes Community College in 2009. She went on to New York Chiropractic College, graduating in July 2013 with her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. She completed a 10 week internship in Pawtuck-et, Rhode Island from May-July 2013 with Dr. Donald Murphy. Returning to her hometown, Dr. Randall opened her office on October 20, 2014 in Wolcott, providing much need chiropractic healing services to the community.

oness Cherie is the current President of
the Club and has been instrumental in
the club providing hundreds of vision
screenings each year in the Corning-
Painted Post area.

LANSING LIONS CLUB
The Lansing Lions were hosts for the recent Cabi-
net Meeting. Lunch included roast pork and sau-
erkraut and was well received by the hungry Li-

tickets with the drawing to be held on June
13th. Lion President Paul Wilson has set up an
Eye Screening Program for North Rose Ele-
mentary students May 5-8. The 15th Annual

VICTOR LIONS CLUB

Hall, 85 E. Main St., Victor, NY. The Victor Lions Club also collects used hearing aides. Both glass-
es and hearing aids are repaired and remade to distribute to those who have expressed a need.
With their 44th annual pancake breakfast, Victor Lions Club members provided the energy that
the Easter egg hunters needed. The kids enjoyed the fun and games with the Easter Bunny and Lion
sponsored by Victor Parks and Recreation Dept. on Saturday, March 28th. The snow made the hunt for
the eggs even more exciting!
Victor Lions Youth Wrestling Tournament held on Saturday, April 11th was a GREAT success! This third annual youth
event attracted local wrestlers and wrestlers and their parents and coaches from as far away as Bradford, PA. Good sportsmanship, good learning experience, good food, and a good time was had by all. Funds raised from the event support Campaign Sight First in working to eliminate preventable Blindness in the World, Vision Screening for pre-k Children, Eye Glasses and Examinations, Batavia School for the Blind, Large Print Books for the Victor Farm-ington Library, Finger Lakes Region Lions Hearing Foundation, Victor Central School Student Scholarships, Victor / Farmington Food cupboard, and many more community activities.
