Design that Matters (DtM)

• Development seminar and design studio– first held at the MIT Media Lab, Spring 2001– taught by students for students

• Weekly guest lectures from international experts• Weekly design workshop and prototyping studio• Crash courses in mechanical and electrical design• Multidisciplinary, international group of participants

– Engineering, Policy, Urban Studies and Planning– India, Australia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Korea, Argentina

• Group work documented and archived on-line• Final presentations open to MIT community
