have to stay within the

cones and avoid sideline

Teach defender to use the sideline effectively . Taking away

the open space. Sideline will never miss a tackle.

Ball Players open up at 45,Read the Coaches shoulders. On

movement, player executes a speedturn. Carrying the momentum

through the shoulder and turning the

hips in one continuous motion.

Ensure players heads and arms whip round driving the hips.

Also run this drill with power turns

BC is Static with one player

already fitted up . Second

player comes in at 50%. And

attempts to strip. Count to

3 then reset.

Communication- Tackle must be ensured . 2nd man in should

be shouting BAL L BALL BALL. This lets the fitted, player release

1 anchor and go for the strip , the BC will always have 2 hands

on him. Work the elbows, and wrist of the BC. After 3 the BC

must release.

4 Step overs 3 Sheilds Player scapes the gaps and shootseach one. Alternating the Players

Players will side step / scrape, and shoot the gaps of the Bags, on

seal the,. The LB must fight the block and maintain Gap leverage.

enters. Defender must touch the

towel , destroying block in the

Space the blockers out by blowing the whistle. Blockers are

never out of the game. Until the defender passes them . If you

run this with 4 blockers. 1 may rejoin on station 4. This is a

quick fire drill, and all about tempo. Same foot same shoulder
