• Fighting the “whole paycheck” myth (expensive).
• Closing of 300 stores.• Expansion is slowing.
Opportunities • International expansion allows more
elbow room than the U.S.• Stepped foot into Canada and Great
Britain.• Establish the organic food market
(name brand).
Threats• Economy.• Other stores providing some organic
food for less.• Competition:
• Trader Joes, Wal-Mart, Kroger.

• It is the only established organic store so it carries this trademark and name brand.
