Notification
No. 100/GOA-LA/l/2017:- Whereas, the seat ofShri Sidharth Sripad Kuncalienker, in the LegislativeAssembly of the State of Goa, elected from11 - Panaji Assembly Constituency, has becomevacant on 10th May, 2017, by reason of hisresignation; and
2. Whereas, a bye-election is to be held for thepurpose of filling the vacancy so caused;
3. Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1)of Section 150, and Section 30 and 56 of theRepresentation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951),the Election Commission of India hereby-
(A) calls upon the said 11 - Panaji AssemblyConstituency in the State of Goa, to elect,before the 31-08-2017 (Thursday) and inaccordance with the provisions of the saidAct and of the rules and orders madethereunder, a person for the purpose of fillingthe said vacancy in the Legislative Assemblyof the State;
(B) appoints, with respect to the said election,-
(a) the 05-08-2017 (Saturday), as the last datefor making nominations;
(b) the 07-08-2017 (Monday), as the date forthe scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 09-08-2017 (Wednesday), as the lastdate for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 23-08-2017 (Wednesday), as the date onwhich a poll shall, if necessary, be taken;and
(e) the 31-08-2017 (Thursday), as the datebefore which the election shall becompleted; and
(C) fixes the hours from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., asthe hours during which the poll shall, ifnecessary, be taken on the date specifiedabove for the election.

Shri Vishwajit Pratapsingh Rane, in the LegislativeAssembly of the State of Goa, elected from 19 -Valpoi Assembly Constituency, has become vacanton 16th March, 2017, by reason of his resignation;and
