Movement Started by M-cdical Unitof Ronkonkoma F. D., Which WillVote on Proposition Friday

The proposed establishment of aself-supporting ambulance companythat will serve Lake Konkomkoma andvicinity will be placed to a vote Fri-day before the members of the Ron-konkoma Volunteer Fire department,some members of which would oper-ate the proposed service.

The movement is; sponsored by thenewly formed Medical Service unitof the Ronkonkoma department andwas given impeius through the ef-forts of Dr. Walter Roettinger andWalter Giegerich.

It is proposed to finance the ambu-lance company through contributionsand donations, and if the plan meetswith the approval of the department,delivery of an ambulance will be madeabout January 10. The ambulance isa second-hand one, but is in excellentcondition, according to departmentofficials , and can be had very reason-ably.

According to Chief Clarence Duf-field , a dire need for an ambulance inthe Ronkonkoma area has prevailedfor some time.

.On Friday morning, the pupils en-joyed a Christmas party and Santadistributed candy, apples and 6r-anges. The candy was furnished byJohn Gerken's confectionery and thefaculty and the oranges by the localA & P store. A turkey was award-ed by the Parent-Teacher associationand was won by Peter Anderson ofLake Ronkonkoma. Another turkey,awarded by pupils of the eighthgrade, was won By Mrs. Elsie Ok-vist.

Delli Bovi CoupleMarried 25 Years

The silver "wedding anniversary o>fMr. and Mrs. Amedeo Delli Bovi ofCoram on December 12 was cele-brated with a turkey dinner at theirhome, at which their guests "were Mr.and Mrs. Alfred Delli Bovi and Mr.and Mrs. J. Wohler of Astoria , Mr.and Mrs. S. Hatnef and daughters ,Jean and Beverly of Islip Manor , Mr.and Mx's. Main Purpose to Help War Victimsin Greece—First Meeting in Pat-chogue with 42 Present

The Greek-American Club of Suf-folk county, the main purpose ofwhich is to aid in the raising of fundsfor war victims in Greece, was or-ganized at an enthusiastic meetingin Patchogue Sunday, with GeorgeProios, Lake Ronkonkoma insuranceagent, as its president.

Other officers of the club, whichrepresents the first effort in the his-tory of the county to organize Suf-folk residents of Greek extraction ,are Steve Pappas of Babylon, vice-president; Michael Biskaduros ofSayville, financial secretary ; PeterKalivas of Patchogue, treasurer, andAchilles Proios of Lake Ronkonkoma ,corresponding secretary.

Sunday's meeting, held in the Brit-ish clubrooms at 8 West Main street,Patchogue, was attended by 42 nlenand women from various sections ofSuffolk. A feature of the gatheringwas the raising of $650 among thosepresent. This sum was immediatelysent to the Greek War Relief Associa-tion , Inc., of New York.

The Greek-American Club of Suf-folk County is to be a permanentorganization and will be independentpolitically. Plans ai-e now under wayto have it incorporated.

Jury Says No CauseFor Action in CaseOf Zeidler and Hudak

No cause for action on the part ofeither party against the other , wasthe verdict of a jury before Justiceof the Peace Arthur R. Reich of Med-ford last Wednesday night at Me d-ford. The verdict was given in theZeidler vs. Hudak case, which wasbased on an automobile accident atSouth Haven and Mt. Vernon avenues,Medford , a few months ago. GeorgeZeidler of Patchogue-Port Jeffersonroad , Medford , one of the drivers ,sued the other driver , Mrs. DorothyBeck Hudak of California avenue,Medford , for .$49.25 damage to hiscar. Mrs. Hudak countercla imed for$77.80 damage to her car.
