Pedagogic Development Diagnostic and Learning Curricula

The heart work at the Down Syndrome Centre „Live Laugh Learn“ is the pedagogic development diagnostic for individuals with Down Syndrome from childhood to adulthood.

At the parents request we draw up a teaching curriculum that summarizes both our comprehensive findings and observations from the diagnostic session and the suggested teaching curricula resulting from same.

Down Syndrome Health Care CenterRudolfsstiftung, Vienna

Experts on medicine, psychology and social work provide advice and support to individuals with Down Syndrome and their families.

The Down Syndrome Health Care Center attends individuals with Down Syndrome from pregnancy and birth through childhood and puberty to seniority.

National Conference in Salzburg

Triennially DSÖ organizes a congress for about 500 guests in Salzburg.

The programm offers workshops and lectures for parents, therapists, educators and young individuals with Down Syndrome.

For three days the conference center ist filled with good vibrations, laughter and positive energy.

Projects:Newborn-Infobox:

A special present for parents in expectation of a baby with Down Syndrome.

Distribution of the information package is managed by Medical Centers.

Schoolbox:

This box contains books and brochures about educating and handling children with Down Syndrome. It includes information about pedagocial and learning methodologies for reading, writing and calculation.

Publications:„Leben Lachen Lernen“(„Live, Laugh, Learn“)is a regular journal that comes out three times a year. The journal is edited by the DS-Centre in Leoben and contains information about new therapies and learning methods, medical and scientific knowledge. An important part of the journal are experience reports by parents and therapists.

We also offer flyers and a video „Geboren mit Down Syndrom“ about Trisomie 21 and a video and books about the calculateion-methode: „Yes, we can“
