The stress doesnt normally change before: -able, -age, -al, -er, -ful, -less, -ness, -ous, -fy, -ative. Exceptions: admire admirable / prefer preferable / medicine medicinal / agriculture - agricultural Stress normally changes before; -ious, -ulous, -eous, -ial, -ic, -ion, -ive, -ity.
