Documentary Ideas

Page 2: Documentary ideas

As individuals we thought up as many ideas as possible for a Documentary topic, ones we thought were realistic and achievable. We then went into groups and brainstormed our ideas together and decided on the most suitable one to work on as a team

1) Bullying (social network sites, consequences of bullying)

2) Underage Drinking

3) Love Over Time

4) College students going on holiday

5) Life ending in 2012

6) Clicks/social groups in school

7) Day in the life of a six form student

t 8) Olympics (aspired generations)

9) Binge Drinking (film clubs at the beginning of the night and at the end)

10) M.I.T Apprentices

11) Life of Lewis Moody

12) Shoplifting

13)Young drivers( the risks they cause to others and the consequences they can cause from reckless driving)

Choice Number one:

1) Love over Time

We chose this particular topic as one of our favorite three because we thought it would be engaging to all ages and be achievable, as the people involved within the Documentary could be family and friends whom are easily reachable. However, we chose not to go with this idea as we wanted more of a challenge.

As a group we overviewed all the ideas above and choose our three favorite ideas that we could potentially expand for our Documentary. These three top choices were the following:

Choice Number two:

2) Life of Lewis Moody

We chose this idea as one of our top three because we have close connections to Lewis Moody and thought interviewing a celebrity would differ from others. However, in the end we went against this idea because there is only a small audience for it and we would like to take on something that would be more versatile and touching.

3) Young Drivers

Although this is not a particularly unique idea, we thought that it was something many people could relate to and it would be a challenge for us as students to undergo the task of interviewing Police officers and potentially people who have close connections to a car crash and the consequences from it, it will be an emotional journey but we hope to warn young drivers the dangers of reckless driving and the damage it can cause, to not only yourself but also the rest of society. So therefore this is the reason we went with this idea.
