Documentary EvaluationWhat we did well…I thought we explained codes and conventions clearly. We provided examples of codes and conventions of documentaries such as using a voiceover and shows examples of different camera shots used in documentaries such as fly on the wall shot and talking heads. We alsoused a soundtrack in the background which is often used to documentaries. We included an interview with a member of the public (right) on their view of documentaries. We also spoke about the pros and cons of the documentary coursework brief.

What we could improve on. . .

The talking head shots could have included an introduction of the character by putting a name at the bottom of the screen which is commonly used in documentaries.

When people are speaking we could have lowered the volume of the soundtrack to hear the people more

clearly.
