Do you what the above our current digital life reminds me of? An early man . An early man had everything he needed at his service; abundant supply of food, water, sunlight for they are only three things he ever needed in that jungle. He made merry with all the supplies at his disposal. He led a reasonably comfortable life .But as days passed, it has become difficult for him to sustain his life this way; amidst of predators who wanted to feed on him; not so-friendly climate conditions, particularly at night when he had to rest. He had to have a hideout, a secured place for himself that could not only guard him from the predators and adverse climates but also give him a scope to organize his daily routine: save his food supplies for days to come, preserve his tools. This personal space of his, no matter how small it may seem it has laid a cornerstone and kick started many more advancements: structured houses, colonies and an inevitable civilization. Everything was built upon that small space he made for himself. We are exactly in a similar situation now, with all the abundant facilities just a click away from our finger tips. Every activity we perform in our day to day life has been digitalized making it is easy for us and thus saving our time. We have an app for everything, a mundane task which can eat away your time is now completed in whim. There’s never been a better time all along. Yet, we are living in a sort of a fragment life where we have everything at our disposal but we are not sure how to capitalize on them. A public social media platform had been valiant effort along these lines; it was an obvious evolutionary step in human communication. I really love its concept but I wish I have more control over my privacy and content I share. It soon became sort of marketing tool serving junk content with little or no use whatsoever. A simple personal space just like the one the early man has created for himself.
