Divine Healing

Divine Healing has been a controversial issuefor many decades.

I believe that the greatest controversies have

arisen in the area of results. We must never betrapped in the arena of whether it was a lackof our faith, or a lack of faith on the part ofthe sick.

How are we going to establish parameters forministering and praying for the sick?

Lets establish the facts

Isaiah 53. 4,5 Surely he hath borne our griefs,and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem himstricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he waswounded for our transgressions, he was bruisedfor our iniquities; and with his stripes we arehealed.

1 Peter 2.24 Who his own self bare our sins in

his own body on the tree, that we, being dead tosins, should live unto righteousness: by whosestripes ye were healed.

Divine Healing & Health

Healing is divine in the sense that God has tointervene in behalf of the finished work ofJesus Christ.

The gospels are full of Jesus healing the sick. We are not going to get into demonology as it

pertains to oppression, possession or the

operation of Spiritual Gifts tonight. It is forcertain that both are products of Calvary andthe consequent resurrection and ascension.

Isaiah 61, as it is written in Luke 4.18,19 TheSpirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hathanointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.

He has sent Me to proclaim release to thecaptives, and recovery of sight to the blind, toset free those who are downtrodden, toproclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

We pray for and anoint the sick because it isthe command of Jesus to the church.

We dont characterize individuals who usemedicine and medical doctors for healing. DivineHealing and Medical Healing are fighting thesame enemy. The curse of the fall and the satanic

desire to kill, steal and destroy lives. (John 10.10) The Restoration of Man Romans 8.19-23 For

the earnest expectation of the creature waitethfor the manifestation of the sons of God. For the

creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly,but by reason of him who hath subjected thesame in hope
